I love to collect vintage items and thrift when I’m on vacation. However a TikTok recommendation sent me to this establishment unfortunately. It looked cool from the outside until the rude/bad energy owner approached me and my mother about her small overpriced and over exaggerated hoarded yard sale. By accident two men ran into my mother in the junky store and a tea cup broke. Unbeknownst to us at the time the staff member who assisted us with clean up, was the daughter of the owner. I guess after being an informant, the owner came into the store yelling at my mom and attempted to throw us out the store and had the cops called on us because she provoked and engaged in a verbal altercation with us. After I attempted to deescalate the situation and offered to pay for the $35 (truthfully 1.99 cup) she played victim with the cops. As an INHERITED business owner I would never treat my patrons this way. My mother expected to spend $300 in her raggedy store. I wish the owner finds peace at mind but I hope her business never sees anymore prosperity based on how we were treated. From the altercation, to the slick disrespectful comments she said to me directly about my mother (while being a mother herself, whereas mine would never), and wasting tax dollar on a $35 lol cup because you’re incapable of talking to people nicely. You may have blocked a blessing and prevented future offerings. Please center and fix your energy. Local thrift stores/consignment store been around for 30 yr!use to be located downtown Charleston where the cat cafe is Was downtown Charleston .Located on rivers ave after near the I526 exit somewhere.GO check them out if you thrift shop Mrs .Jone (owner)and her husband have collected Soo much stuff!this cool woman stayed in Charleston after serving in the Navy and planted her roots and have been accumulating stuff for some time.they have a lot of gems in there..you may need an hr or so if you really looking for stuff.so much accessories and wearable items...go be whoever you wanna be in there!🙂 The costume/dress section is astonishing.yall see that real silky I had on!! was less then $50 and if you know about those designs you know you getting a good price.name brand items everywhere..like 1 of them Kardashians shoes they made was there..Jordans..lots of cowboy boots may have as much as a western boot store.i don't know she fit all that stuff n there!! Have now been there a couple of times. Staff is super nice and helpful. Got some genuinely unique items that I’ve since gotten a lot of compliments on! Have also sold some items and was happy with the amount I got for them. They offer 50% store credit and 25% in cash for what they’ll sell it for. I went with store credit which went a long way in what I ended up shopping for. They also have those little punch cards that once you fill out (I believe it’s every 10 dollars spent?) you get 20% off your whole order. For every item you get that’s more than ten dollars, you can pick out a free item from outside the store. People complain about the prices being too high, but I disagree. You get discounts in different ways, and most everything was in very good condition. There was only one item that had an issue (Line jacket had a slight mold/mildew smell on the inside) but I bought it knowing this and that I would put effort to fix it. Now, it’s good as new.
