iPhone-Mend — Local services in North Olmsted

I should be giving this one star, but the price and timely manner prevent that. Mind you The service done to my iPhone 5s was quite a few months ago, if not longer, so exact details as far as time and pricing I cannot provide. I had a badly cracked screen, and got scheduled for a repair pretty quickly. The repair only took a few hours and most of that was due to him having prior repairs to finish. When I returned to pick up my phone, he explained to me that damage had been done to the body of the phone and he had to try bending it back into shape to allow the new screen to sit properly. I had no issue with this. The issue I had, was that after paying for the service and walking out with my phone, I very shortly realized that my phone's speaker (for normal phone calls) did not work. The speaker phone worked, but the normal one did not, and this was not an issue prior to the repair. I called to ask what could be done, and I was told that I would have to schedule and pay full price for another repair, to which I had just paid (I believe around) $80 or so for the initial repair. I was very displeased with this. Makes for bad business when you break something that you're suppose to fix and offer no compensation, a discounted price at the very least... Reluctant to give more of my money away in fear of more problems, have dealt with all phone calls via speaker phone ever since. Yes, yes, "time to get a new...

I was greeted nicely right when I came in the door. I discussed my iPhone issue and right away they started working on it. They also kept me updated on my phone throughout the process which I very much appreciated. Mike was honest and told me something else other than the screen on my boyfriends iPhone needed to be fixed. So I took some time to discuss it with my boyfriend before going with the service yet. I was charged a $37 diagnosic fee because I did not get the service done that day. (I am saying this to just be aware to be sure you want your service done here first before having them work on your device! ) But that can be “waived” or applied towards your service if you come back in. Which I already knew I was coming back!

Fast forward: We came back and decided to get my old iphone screen repaired and his motherboard and screen repaired. I did have to call Mike a day before so he could order the motherboard before we came in. The service was fast and friendly! Both phones were done within an hour or actually maybe less and at a great price! It was the best price quoted! I really appreciated the authenticity and how professional the business was! My brother in laws iPad had the screen and button damaged. An older model without the fingerprint readable button. We went to 4 shops before this one. The first shop spent 20 minutes explaining how unreliable his repairman was, so we politely passed. The next three either quoted us rates so high that a new low end iPad was the better option. This shop was our last resort. Professional staff, although the office could use some attention. They quoted us a reasonable price, about $100. The work was completed in a day ( since it was an older model they had to get a part, otherwise it may have been same day ). We picked it up the next day, fully charged and looking brand new.
