Captain Hooks Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in North Olmsted

I just want to give an honest review and say that the customer service here as well as the food was pure trash. I came here Aug 6th and as you all know everyone was experiencing power outage issues all around the area. So I called and they were open so I decided to try their food on a whim. Terrible terrible decision. Not only did it take forever to get here (and I don’t live far) because of road closures etc but I received terrible food and service. First of all I don’t know who they are getting to lie about the chicken Philly on the reviews but it is absolutely disgusting. It literally taste like chicken chopped up with sloppy Joe mix on it. All they put on it was meat, cheese and onions. How is that any type of Philly?? Absolutely gross. Secondly, they did not put my side of onion rings in the bag. You gave me a receipt with what was on the order so how is it that you didn’t put everything in the bag?? I call about it and was placed on hold nobody came. So I hung up and called back no answer. So I call private what do you know an answer. Long story short the cashier proceeds to tell me they don’t have a manager and they cannot refund me for the food they didn’t give me because I left the store. Oh I’m sorry I didn’t check the bag. I thought that maybe umm you know I would get what I actually paid for! After all I did spend $18.50. No one offered any type of way to correct this or anything not even an apology. I will never come to this place again. So unprofessional and not only that from what I taste absolute garbage this is not a lie. You’re better off going to Charley’s. Zero stars if I could. Start off by saying that I’ve never had a problem with their food..yet. However, with them knowing that it’s a common issue with ordering at the wrong location why not have do nothing about it yet? My first time experiencing ordering at the wrong location when the person answer the phone I could barely hear him so no I did not hear him say North Olmsted, I placed my order have him my card information with zip code. I showed up at my location in Maple Heights she said it happens all the time so I tried calling the other location 6x the first time I was placed on hold for a while then i decided to call back still no answer. The lady at my location says there’s nothing either locations can do which she mentions after I told her what happened and called 6x. So I either drive 25 minutes to where I placed my order, or lose out on my money that I paid for and place a new order and spend more money for it. When finally heard from the guy in North Olmsted he said it’s nothing can be done either come get it or don’t.

Why when I search for my location in Maple Heights in my maps there’s no phone number, the Instagram info os for North Olmsted which have a number for them but different management, and the website is not for maple heights but is a Instagram handle for North Olmsted ?! I’ve never been so eager to write a review on my life. Maple Heights location is 5 minutes from where I say and I called ahead when I got off work so it’ll be ready for me but ended up driving...

I started following this place because of CLEfoodies review on IG. I placed an order of a wing dinner (4 wings) and a perch dinner (3 pieces) for $28. I was told the wait time would be 15 minutes. I sat in the car and waited until the person that ordered before me came out which was about 20 minutes. The young lady that was taking orders apologized and stated they only had one cook at the time. The place was moderately busy for 7pm on a Saturday. The wait time turned into 30 minutes which wasn’t a big deal since I’m patient and understand that since the pandemic most places are understaffed. However with my patience I also expect decent food. The naked unseasoned wings tasted like wood. The coating on the fish had absolutely no taste other than dirty oil. I was asked if I wanted seasoning on my fries while ordering and I said yes. I didn’t know I needed to ask for seasoning on everything. Unseasoned food to me is “nasty work” and quite disrespectful during this economy. You only get one chance to play with my money.
