First time customer, and definitely will not be a returning customer. Avoid the Big Egg, take your business to ANY other diner.

Ordered take out yesterday and upon arrival at home, discovered this meal was sub-par beyond normal standards. I phoned into the restaurant to inform them that my order was incorrect and the corned beef tasted gross. The man I spoke with on the phone was rather abrasive, and when I commented on the quality of the corned beef, he told me “It comes from a can”. I told him that was gross, and he retorted “I have never had any complaints about it in the past!” The food was so laughably bad, I actually drove back to the restaurant with my take out order, and returned it.

Going back my order being incorrect, there is a dish on their website that states a certain entree comes with certain ingredients. However, that is not the case, as there is an inaccuracy on their website that lists the same ingredients as another dish. So keep in mind not to trust their online menu.

Lastly, when ordering online, be very careful of hidden fees!! I ordered 3 items totalling $28 and change. When my card was swiped, the total came out to $34 and change. When ordering take out, you are charged an additional fee per order for “the takeout box” as I was told. As if your 11 dollar plate of CANNED CORNED BEEF, 8 dollar pancakes, and 10 dollar biscuits and gravy didn’t have the profit margins to be able to supply a customer a take out container…? There was NO mention of additional fees for takeout on their website.

TL;DR: Management/owner could check their attitude, CANNED CORNED BEEF is gross, their online menu is inaccurate, and be wary of...

The door states the Hours of Operations - I believe the staff is unaware of what this means. Party of 2 with a child arriving 40 minutes before the posted closing time should not be turned away especially by yelling it across the restaurant. I mentioned the sign says they close at 3, other patrons voiced my same concern. All we wanted was a simple breakfast, this could have been achieved easily… we then reached the door to leave and they locked it behind us which I believe is a violation while serving guests that were still eating. The establishment decided to not service a small table and would rather take a loss of money, future guests and a bad review. I stand on this review because I also have a good and beverage background… the Hours of operation should reflect the hours open for service, it’s no a suggestion it’s clearly posted on the door. For example, you would never walk into any restaurant. Let’s just say cheesecake factory 40 minutes before they close and get turned away. Business owners please train your staff properly and encourage him to not put a bad name on your business, these kids just wanted to go home and we’re very upset when they saw us walk in 40 minutes before Closing. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would return here. The big egg Name has been a staple of Cleveland since Wayback one and I have been to the specific location before with no problem this needs to...

Ordered breakfast through ubereats. Ordered chocolate chip pancakes, smothered hashbrowns, and a coffee. Notes asked for utensils to be added, cream and sugar for coffee, and a few syrup packets for the pancakes. I was charged an additional $2 for the addons.

Food quality was standard. The hashbrowns were smothered well and the potatoes tasted great. The smotherings were way too salty and it overpowered the potato taste more often then not. I would still order these again.

The pancakes were a bit rubbery but had a decent amount of chocolate chips in them. I would try something different next time.

The coffee was a regular coffee. Not too bitter but no taste to speak of from the coffee beans. The cream and sugar came in clutch to help add a bit of necessary flavor.

I did not receive the requested utensils or the requested syrup that I was charged to receive after placing my order. I received enough cream and sugar for a pot of coffee even though I only ordered one coffee.

Overall, the value isn't there for the cost and the added charges for items not provided is disappointing. I'll go elsewhere in the future and remove this from my list of...

This little gem is a gem! We had an absolutely wonderful experience! Wasn't sure what to expect walking into it, but we were all very happy we found this place on Fox 8 New Day Cleveland! Marina was our server, and she was a delight! She gave her menu recommendations, was quick to refill our drinks, was very friendly, and made sure we were happy! This place was So clean and spacious! The food was very hot, fresh and generous portions! The menu is so huge. I'm sure there is something for everyone! The owner, Jimmy, was there, and it was nice to meet him! He's doing a great job because there are not a lot of places like this one around! Give it a try if you haven't! We will forsure be back!

In the late 80s I was a regular for Sunday brunch at the Big Egg when it was in Cleveland on Detroit Road. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the Big egg is still slinging hash in North Olmsted. I got the Chicken Teriyaki Philly Sandwich with hand cut fries for $9.99. The food was served fast and hot. It was a very tasty sandwich and nicely portioned. The restaurant is spacious and there are booths and tables for larger groups. I will be back when in the area.
