Storm Smart Showroom- North Port — Local services in North Port

We learned of Storm Smart from our neighbors installation and good word on the company.

We called in April 2024 to set up an appointment to discuss their hurricane roll down curtains.

Our salesperson LJ came and explained their product, installation and benefits. We were pretty impressed with all the details provided for the curtains for our lanai area. We also inquired about the same material for all of our windows. We asked for a “ball park” estimate for the windows and were told “around a couple hundred per window”. Our price for the lania curtains came in exactly where we were given, BUT the windows came in at about $700 per window. Where Im from a couple means two, maybe three hundred but not double.

Products were presented and explained in detail. After permits were obtained by Storm Smart, the installation was scheduled quickly and performed in a timely manner, actually a month earlier than predicted.

We chose to only buy the three for our lanai. Skipping the highly over priced window curtains.

Our installer named Ray R. arrived and immediately we were super impressed with him. He explained everything he’d be doing. Super friendly, knowledgeable of their product. Ray is an absolute benefit to your company. He is a fantastic representative of your business and you should be proud of him.

Unfortunately, during manufacturing someone measured incorrectly and new covers needed to be re-fabricated and the two day process took three. No biggie.

I was not happy with how the manual silver connections were installed, leaving them uneven. I was told it was something to do with how the motor was installed, it looks dumb how the two are in two different locations right beside each other. Truth be told this is the only thing I’d say was poor of our whole process.

UPDATE 5/29/24 just as the businesses reply below states, they have come out, looked at my concern and are immediately making the corrections to make me 100% happy vs the 99% I was prior. This company has top notch customer service and very friendly employees....

We had 4 windows installed by Storm Shield and honestly this company should be rated under a 1 star. The install was not even caulked properly and poorly at that. None of them lock anymore and under the arch window the bottom is out of square to the face of the upper arch. We have been calling and calling but get rude representatives especially Amanda-- she will talk right over you so nothing gets accomplished and then hangs up. They were supposed to show up today for an 8 to 10 o"clock appointment and it's a no show as I had expected. It took me to say that I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau and call the county to get this appointment. Guess I will be doing that as well -- if they value their reputation at all they will live up to their word which so far has not happened. I have several other windows to get done and Storm smart will absolutely not be the installer. They promise you the moon and then under perform in every area. Their warranty says the customer deserves only the best but I have only seen their worst and inept customer service. Buyer...

From the moment we met with Helene - a consummate salesperson with proven customer communication skills, product knowledge, and fun to work with - to the installation of hurricane screens around our corner unit lanai by Phil and B, we knew we'd made a good choice. Phil and B arrived on time and ready to work. They worked efficiently, kept to schedule, showed us how the curtains worked, and left area clean before leaving. Customer service and proven product in one company? Almost unheard of today. STORM SMART has both qualities, plus I believe we'll get credit on our homeowners insurance with these installed....
