My kids are enrolled in YMCA summer camp and Hampton Lanes was the first place they went for a field trip. My kids were so excited to attend. My 9 year old had a daily countdown! The day finally came and she was up EARLY with excitement!
As I arrived that day at camp to pick my girls up, I knew the bowling trip was a success by the smiles that welcomed me 😁!!! I sent my girls that morning to camp in Crocs, not thinking at all about needing socks for their bowling shoes 🤢 I really messed up there. There feet were disgusting and I just cannot believe we started Crocs wearing low cut style socks and in the past week my kids begged to go sock-less at camp. They swear they are the only kids to wear socks with Crocs. Anyway this was my fault not Hampton Lanes. I cannot believe of all days it was the bowling trip I made this error 🙄 My kids agreed their feet were nasty so we scrubbed them clean as well as their Crocs. I apologized to them I felt terrible and they were completely unphased by this. They were like “ oh well, but we had soooo much fun mommy plus we can wash our feet no problem” Parents everywhere know this is code for they were having so much fun they hardly noticed or cared! My kids told me the food was delivered by robots ( they LOVED that), the seats were comfy and not hard and slippery, a/c was on, the kids received pizza and french fries ( my kids are chair and co-chair of “The Picky Committee” so if they said the food was good and they ate it all please know it must have been perfect 🤣 . The energy and enthusiasm she showed me told me what I needed to know. We need to attend as a family and see what is going on at The Hampton Lanes 👀. Lucky for me my 9 year old pays attention when she likes something so she came home with information regarding “ free kids Summer Bowling” with a link to the website. You already know I signed up both of my kids and I joined as an added on family member for $39.99! The whole family; mom, dad, and both daughters can now go bowling all Summer until September 1st. I had to do a google review even though I have not gone myself my kids have and they LOVED it here! My 9 year old was the overall winner in her group because she scored the most points. She was super proud!
I will be packing socks for everyone and renting bowling shoes ( shoe rental is additional). I plan to go this Summer on the days that it rains and my girls cannot enjoy camp because of the weather.
I appreciate any local companies that contribute towards our youth. They are truly our future! Thank you Hampton Lanes for implementing this awesome bowling opportunity to our youth during Summer! 🫡🙏😊🎳🍕🍟🥤
Thank you Hampton Lanes I will share this Summer bowling program information with other moms in my area.
Update- 7/27/25
I visited today with my family and we used our Summer passes. We spent $17 for shoe rental and $35 on food with tip. It is still pricey even with buying the $40 parent add on. We will go once more this Summer before school starts up. I like the app this place uses. French fries are yummy here!...
Read moreFirst time at the new Hampton Lanes was fun. Had a lot of fun bowling and the aesthetic of the place was great. Unfortunately a big downside on the night was waiting 2 hours for our food. We put in drink orders when we first started bowling and an order of fried pickles, one drink was just a pitcher of water that I had to remind the waitress of and did not come out to us until about 40 minutes into our bowling. We also ordered some other food maybe 25 minutes into bowling. We ended up finishing our hour and a half bowling time and moving to the bar seating area still without any of our food. Several members of our group asked the waitress multiple times who kept saying the food was in the kitchen. We didn’t get our food until about 2 hours after ordering, most of it was cold/soggy (meaning it was probably sitting in the kitchen for a while and just not brought out to us) and some items were missing. The pickles which were ordered right at the beginning of the bowling time were missing and when I asked the waitress she looked at me and said “oh I don’t order your pickles.” Again we had a great time bowling but the night was kind of ended on a bad note with the bad food service and lack of care to do something for us by the waitress. We would come back for bowling but wouldn’t waist time...
Read moreBooked one lane for 5 people for two hours a week in advance for a small birthday get together before heading to a dinner reservation. Was called THE MORNING OF saying that they were “double booked” and that we could only do 1 hour. I drove to the bowling alley to figure out what that even meant since the reservation system is online (and again we did it a week in advance), and they didn’t “double book”, they had bowling leagues every weekend in April that they KNEW about and still took our reservation for 5pm, even though they weren’t going to allow the public to bowl until 6pm. Knowing that 1 hour was not enough time for 5 people to bowl in one lane without rushing, and that we couldn’t stay later because we had a dinner reservation to get to, I had to cancel the bowling reservation. The total we paid was $115 to reserve the lane. The kid only gave me back $92, and when I asked where the rest of the money was, he said the booking fee was non refundable. YOU GUYS ARE THE ONES THAT MESSED UP. I’m not cancelling because I feel like it, I’m cancelling because you messed up and waited until the day of to tell us, own up to it and just give us all our money back. Not to mention the kid “helping” me literally showed not an ounce of sympathy the whole time. So basically we got...
