My PC was giving me issues for a week(blue screen of death and windows issues) tried to fix it myself and spent a whole day trying to test and figure it out. With really no hope of fixing it I scoured online for solutions and came upon PC Building & Repair. At first I was hesitant as I never really did this kind of thing. Called up Ken and right away I could tell this guy was legit. He was very professional on the phone and let me explain what was going on. He told me what it could be right away and told me to bring it in on the weekend which was amazing as I work alot and usually don't have time the week days. When I met Ken he was just as wonderful in person as he was on the phone, professional and knowledgeable. Told me what he would do, he would run diagnostics, he would stress test and find the issue. Not even a day after I brought it in he called me and told me what it was. Not only did he replace the part, he saved my files, installed windows and cleaned the PC. It's like it's brand spankn new! And for the incredible service he provides it's very inexpensive. He even gave me tips on some software to download as well as some upgrades to look for in the future. If you need a new PC or have issues with the one you have Ken is the guy to call. Definitely found a trustworthy and knowledgeable person to handle all my PC needs moving forward....
Read moreTHE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH! DISASTER! So began my Monday morning. My almost 10-year work horse of my custom-built, Windows 7 PC died. I was in a complete panic mode and began a search for new computer repair places in my area. (My previous support guy retired.) Luckily, I found Ken at PCB&R. I gave him a quick call, explained my problem, and he said, "Come on over now." which surprised me as I expected to need to make an appointment and wait a few days at least. Ken turned out to be a really sharp computer guy. What was really nice was the fact he respected my limited computer knowledge and did not talk down to me or continually correct me as other repair services have done it in the past. So right away I felt comfortable with him. He quickly diagnosed the many problems, including the out-of-date operating system, and gave me a quick, extremely reasonable estimate and went to work. Not only was it ready the next day, but Ken manage to save all my data, including some programs that I was able to reinstall. So no need to buy, $$$$ replacements. And the price, like the estimate, was right! No hidden charges. As I go forward, I have complete confidence in PCB&R. Shortly, I will be bringing my wife's PC over for a tune-up. Thus, the 5 Star, all around rating....
Read moreI thought Ken’s was one of the most honest businesses I've ever dealt with. WRONG! I was expecting to have a new computer built and could have been taken advantage of, instead I was told to buy a few inexpensive parts from Amazon. If I ever need anything I will be calling on PC Building & Repair for sure! UPDATE: 5 stars drops drastically I have not been able to contact Ken, he no longer responds. We had an appointment for him to help me out but he didn’t show up. Now I need to find someone else who is more reliable and experienced. He built the computer so I thought all would be well. I don’t think you understood that the computer is not working and you don’t reply as promised. Update: I can’t get in touch with Ken he does not take my calls though he promised he’d help me. I am now thinking I’ve been scammed for a large chunk of $. I had another computer tech here and the problem is that the computer is messed up and it needs to go to their shop so they can fix what was not done correctly… I will not stop posting here since you are such a coward that you won’t even...
