Level Up Automation — Local services in Northborough

Truly 5++ Star review. We had a fairly large whole home installation that went over many months and I have nothing but good things to say about Level Up Your Home.

I first met with Jen in the office on an initial no pressure first consultation. The meeting lasted a few hours and we discussed my entire project and what I wanted to achieve and the various products that would work within our budget. I received a quote that was very fair. Next step involved her and David coming to the construction site in the middle of winter to view the project and take measurements, etc. This was a new build home so we had endless options. I elected to have them pre-wire the home and get everything set up for seamless installation when home was complete which was effortless for me and well worth it as I wanted all wires to be hidden.

All prices were very fair. If I found cheaper prices they would honor that price without question. There were several revisions to the quote as we were constantly adding and updating components and I never once felt that I had to micro manage them----as we had many other things to worry about during new home construction.

The scope of the project was fairly large: install 3 TV's to wall (including 2 Samsung The Frame TV's-which is not easy install). Basically whole home Sonos system with in wall speakers in many rooms (2 rooms with full surround sound, many in wall architectural speakers including outdoor, several Sonos Beams, etc). In addition to this, nearly whole home Lutron system including automated shades and lighting system. We also did full Nest system with: 3 Nest outdoor cameras, 2 Nest Door bell cams and Yale-Nest lock, Nest security and sensors, and Nest smoke/CO detectors. They also installed the cooling rack with Router/modem/MESH networks/amps, etc.

Installation began in Jan prior to COVID. It slowed with COVID as everything was shut down. Once business's were back and running, installation continued. David and Matt were excellent. They were always on time, often stayed late to finish. They respected our home and always wore Mask's which was very comforting. They took the time to teach us the tech as well and installed everything to our preferences. We had no issues with the installation as everything was for the most part seamless. There were many installation days to complete the project but the end result is better than I could have expected. Everything works seamlessly without any issues to date.

The responsiveness of this company, from our initial meet to final install day, was great. They would always answer my emails and even text's very promptly and I got the Sense that if I needed any tech support in near future that they would deliver. They showed genuine interest in the project and the workmanship shows in the final result. We had a chance with a new build to get the tech that we wanted, and they delivered without question. I never felt the need to question the prices or rates...everything just seemed right and honest.

Of note, this company makes the entire upgrade and installation of tech very easy. Once agreed upon, they order the products and store them. On install day they bring everything with them. The consumer does not have to buy or store anything which is very nice.

We plan on bringing them back in the next 6 months or so to finish out our basement build and future projects as well.

Overall, very solid tech company that can deliver on everything from consultation, recommending products, delivery, install, and education.

A++, 5-Star...

Excellent company, exactly-how-expected services/products, and impeccably good customer service. Actually, the products and services are better than anticipated or expected. For my purchases I worked with Braden and had Matt as my installer, and both were absolutely fantastic.

Here’s some of my favorite things about this company:

1. absolutely no pressured sales. I truly felt like Braden was working WITH me, not just trying to get something from me. He expended a significant number of hours helping me and making sure I had what I needed/wanted. I particularly also liked that when either one of us was busy, I could count on him not to “drop the ball”. With a lot of other companies I find myself having to write down “follow up with x company” on my to do list... with Braden and Level Up I didn’t need to worry about this.. EVEN when I had already paid in advance, they made sure they followed up with me about scheduling a time for my install and didn’t wait for me to have to contact them. SO much appreciated. (This is why they will now be me go-to for anything like this!)

2. Throughout all of my conversations with the company they did exactly what we discussed (and sometimes more). If there was an opportunity to improve something or offer an alternative or suggestion, they did. Again- collaborative experience, not pushy sales garage that nobody likes.

3. Extra Effort. My representative (Braden) added on installation of solar lights outside my home that I had already purchased even though they weren’t specifically inside the “smart home” category. I am so so so happy he was able to do this as I was struggling with how to put them up! When my installer Matt arrived, he downloaded an app on his phone to track which parts of my house received sunlight and how to angle the solar lights panels for the sunlight to hit them. He also LITERALLY helped me clear ice from my front steps. WHAT OTHER COMPANY IS THAT HELPFUL without wanting something from you?!? Which leads me to my next point

4. Small Business. Not only do you support your local community but you get extra effort like as mentioned above. My experience felt much more personalized and I wasn’t lost in the shuffle.

Other perks are that for those of us who are busy, you can communicate via text to schedule — and no judgment if you’re a horrible text responder and get busy (sorry!) but they will also call and email too, whichever is convenient! And, they’re a relatively “young” company meaning they understand this stuff inside and out. Young or old they’re knowledgeable and can provide insight and customization to whatever you’re looking for. This is a quality company and I hope to be able to order more with them sooner rather than later.

It’s great having a company that you can trust and a small business who will remember you and not let you down!

My family and I are 100% pleased with our recent experience with Level Up - from the initial contact to completion of the work. We were interested in smart technology solutions in the form of climate control, security and lighting. The entertainment options for the living area within the home , as well as the outside patio were also a priority. We found that the consultation was extremely informative and thorough. All of the options, brands and equipment were reviewed and explained in detail.

Level Up was able to care for all of our needs in a timely and professional manner. They were even able to conceal new and existing wiring within the walls for an enhanced appearance. The work was completed within one day by a very professional installation team with attention to detail. The installation team took the time to explain how all of the equipment and features functioned; and, did not leave until we were completely comfortable with operating all the applications. The ability of Level Up to provide "one stop shopping" from start to finish is such a convenience and money saver - compared to the alternative of having to hire several contractors to achieve a similar result.

I would, without a doubt, use Level Up again for any future smart technology or entertainment needs; and, I would encourage anyone in need of or thinking about these solutions/services to make Level up their first...
