Pickle Haus Deli — Restaurant in Northborough

The company I work for ordered 10 specific subs for pickup and mine was supposed to be turkey, American cheese, lettuce and bacon but there was no bacon. Also there was a long dark hair on my sub when I opened it, which I removed (without thinking of taking a photo first - I should have so I could prove it), because I was just aggravated they forgot the bacon. The one plus side: there is a lot of deli meat in the sub and the bread is very good tasting/fresh. I can only imagine how good the sub would have been if it was correct, which gets me more riled up. The guys at my work say it's always busy, so I can see how this happened but I hope the people making the sandwiches have hairnets, I honestly don't know since I haven't been here. Since this was my first time having anything from here I won't be ordering from them again, even though I didn't pay for it, because I don't like the thought of having to check that the sub is correct and hair free. I understand that this may have been just a one time occurrence and we all make mistakes, including me, I just feel that I need to voice my opinion since this experience left me...

Let me just say first, the food is delish. I have not had a single sandwich from here that I did not love. AND THE COOKIES. Yum. The steak & cheese special and Thanksgiving special are must haves! The ingredients are fresh and great quality and the batard bread is a perfect mix of crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Just great all around. Beyond that, the people here are kind, helpful, and work hard. Sam, the owner, and his family are one of a kind and I've gotten to know them over the course of me picking up food for lunch. It's one thing to provide a great product as a small business, it's another to both provide great food AND be great humans. My family and I used to eat here on special occasions growing up but now I love to eat here as often as I can find the time. Today it occurred to me to write a review because my sister and I will sit around quite literally talking about how good it is and how much we love it. I think some new owners took it over recently (in the last couple of years I think?) and they are SO lovely and kind. The quality is always 100/10 and can turn a bad day into a good one. This sounds very dramatic but sometimes I will just think how I kind of feel sorry for people who live in other towns and cities and have never had Pickle Haus.
