
I've been going to the Wax Den for a few months now. I found them via groupon and had my first Brazilian (wax period). I was assigned a staff member who was very friendly however, not that experienced in the industry. Unfortunately she was let go of, and I was assigned another staff member, Priscilla. Priscilla is extremely professional, very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Waxing is not the most comfortable service but, Priscilla made it very pleasant, she is skilled and gentle. She is absolutely awesome. It seems as though they've been going through some transitions as far as staffing. The previous receptionists that were very versed in knowing the services, and clientele are no longer there.I had an issue my final time going there, were I was charged for cancellation appointments. If you do not show up for a service you are charged half the service, and must pay it before you can be seen for an appointment. The receptionist said I had two no shows for appointments on May 8th and May 15th however, my last time visiting them was May 24th. I never made the appts. nonetheless, the logistics that would mean, I would not have been able to receive my service when I went on the 24th. I was extremely disappointed in her customer service. They have since lost a customer, and I'm very sorry to have to leave them but,I will not tolerate that receptionist. Read moreHorrible! Horrible! Horrible! I have been a "member" for 6 months and have been coming to wax den for over a year. They don't care how much money you spend or how loyal you are. I had to cancel my appointment the day of due to the fact that life happens and things change. The receptionist Sylvia was extremely rude and told me I was going to be charged $20 if I didn't come in and then hung up on me! Best believe that is my last time dealing with them and I'm calling AMEX today to tell them any charge from them in fraudulent from now on!!! Unbelievable!
You would think that the owner would care enough about her long time clients to respond with a phone call instead of via Google review. I forgot to mention in the beginning of the review that the WHOLE REASON I signed the contract was because when you do you can cancel or reschedule an appointment the same day as long as you don't go too far past your 4 week mark. So yes I will be contacting my attorney first thing tomorrow because yes I have been a member for 6 months and am aware of what the terms were. I have NEVER disrespected anyone's time and have even been late to a FUNERAL to make my appointment. First of all it's hard to find and if your late, they are completely inflexible and might not serve you. Secondly after a friend died I tried for three days to call to reschedule my appointment which was going to happen on the day pf the funeral. No one picked up the phone. They claimed that they were busy and otherwise unavailable. After the day of the funeral I found that they had charged my card the full amount of the services. When I called back to find out what happened, this time leaving my name realizing they never pick up the phone when you call, I was told there was nothing they could do about it. I don't usually complain about these kinds of do everything yourself services (you have to make your appointment online, they don't call you to remind you if the appoinment, they never pick up their phone) but the lack of sensitivity and basic customer service needed was lacking. I would never go back or recommend this place because I cannot guranatee a good customer...
