Aloha Island Lei and Floral — Local services in Oʻahu

I cannot express enough how impressed I was with the lei I received. It was delivered to me with ice packaging that kept the lei fresh and vibrant. I followed the storing/caring instructions provided and amazingly enough it stayed fresh for well over a week. This is good to know for those who are planners and like to be organized. When you have an event coming up, you can order the lei to arrive earlier than your event which takes the stress out of having to wait last minute for your lei to arrive (or hope it arrives in time for your event). This specific lei held up for OVER a week before it started showing any signs of wilting. I wish I could post pictures to show you how beautifully and PERFECTLY arranged each flower was. The colors stayed vibrant until about a week and half before it started to wilt slightly. I'm going on 2 weeks, and it still looks beautiful as this specific lei wilts from a purple to a brighter red (not brown). The scent on this specific lei was not as strong as others such as the pikake, so wearing it around all day won't make you dizzy if you're sensitive to scent. The quality of the weaving and floral placement was spectacular. Aloha Island Lei did not take any shortcuts in creating this lei. I have taken a lei-making class before in Hawaii and I know how fragile each flower can be. And it was a natural process for me to choose the finest flowers to thread through a needle (and I'm no where near being an expert with flowers). But this was obvious with their work. There was no shortcut taken. Just from the appearance of the lei, you can tell they value the art of lei-making. Thank you SO MUCH for delivering the aloha spirit in a form of a lei and for keeping this beautiful tradition alive. I can't wait to go back to the island at the end of the month. I love the exquisite selection of leis that Aloha Island Lei & Floral offers. Daniel Paik was very helpful in coordinating a delivery date for my lei. His main concern was that my lei arrived fresh and would not wilt in the hot weather.

I was so pleased the lei was shipped priority overnight via FedEx. The box was clearly labeled as perishable and there was a label stating to refrigerate upon arrival. The box was also responsibly shipped. There was a USDA stamp from Oahu and there was no problem with the package passing my strict California agricultural inspection.

Inside was a securely packaged, drop dead gorgeous orchid lei. It was a beautiful purple and white lei with the most beautiful and intricate design I have ever seen. I cannot imagine how long this took to create. I was surprised at the tightness of the flowers. The lei was the perfect length for me. There was no damage to any petals and it was so well made that I couldn’t see the string that kept the lei together.

Extra care was obviously given to the packaging. Inside were two heavy duty cold packs nicely wrapped in newspaper so there would be no issue with water leaking outside of the box. The lei was wrapped in paper and plastic to protect the flowers. This type of care in packaging and the use of extremely fresh flowers resulted in me being able to keep my lei around for a full week. After wearing I would spray the lei with water and store it in my vegetable crisper.

I am beyond impressed with the quality of the flowers, the design and construction of the lei, and the excellent customer service I received from Aloha Island Lei & Floral. They will definitely be my go to floral shop for best in class leis. I can not say enough about the beauty of the lei that I received. I was picked to receive a Lei for no charge in return for my honest review. The delivery was fast and recevied as promised. The package was well marked and even stated plants from Hawaii which made me smile. t states perishable and that it shoule be refigerated upon arrival. I just happened to be home when it was delivered and could feel that box and contents had been kept cool. It came with easy follow care instuctions to make the lei last as long as possible. finally time to open my box and wow was my lei beautiful it was purple and white just like the beautiful and colorful flowers of the Hawaiian islands that I remember from living there. It had a bow tied on that was use to hold the ends together. it has a slight floral smell not the overwhelming island smell I was hoping for but It had been traveling many many miles just to get to me. The lei was very well protect and was perfect conditon when I received it. Of course I put on my neck and held it as quickly as I could. :) 5.Next I wanted to see if it would in fact last the 3 days in the fridge and it did and still looke great on the 4th day I noticed a few of the white flowers turning brown and decieded it was time to try to hang and a dry it as it was just to stunning to toss. I found a nice dry place to hang and alow the flowers to dry to which they are still in the drying process but they are holding their shape and other than the white flowers turning brown (which is normal for white flowers) it look as beauitul as the day I recieved it.
