Over the past week and a half, I have spoken to and scheduled two inspections concerning a possible termite infestation. Both times, the technician NEVER showed up and NEVER called to let me know. The first time it happened, the call center told me they accidentally scheduled it with someone who didn't have their license yet. The second time it happened, the call center told me they scheduled it with someone who didn't service my area. This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous that Terminix cannot properly schedule their service OR provide a phone call to the customer once the error is spotted. Both times I had to call to follow-up and see what the hold up was. I am extremely disappointed in the ultimate lack of communication and professionalism.
I am rating this review two stars because a local technician did eventually call me and said he would not service my area because Terminix is too expensive. He said it would cost $800 for a spot treatment which is INSANE since I have been quoted $75-250 from other companies. Thankfully, he did provide me some advice on how to handle the infestation myself but still though -- if your own employee is telling customers not to choose Terminix, something is seriously wrong. Read moreTerminex has always gotten rid of my insects quickly. The first time I contacted Terminex was for an ant problem which was resolved in a few days. Recently, I scheduled an appointment because I had a huge ant problem that developed quickly. I had never had to schedule an appointment before since I'm serviced quarterly and have never seen any insects between quarterly appointments. It was very easy to schedule an appointment on the website and I also chatted with a friendly associate to request my regular technician, Kimo G. The associate online was very helpful and assured me that Kimo would be there. Kimo came on that day and took care of the ant problem. He also explained in detail the type of ants, what he would be doing, and how to avoid future ant problems. Later that day, I noticed that the ants on their trials were lessening in number. The next day, all trails and ants were gone! I'm very happy with the service that I received and always receive from Terminex. I'm glad that my sister recommended them highly to me because ever since she did, I have not had problems with roaches and the two times that I've had ant problems, they were resolved quickly. Read moreGregg is my terminix technician for the past year and he's phenomenal. He's friendly, always on time, communicates schedule info, and very careful with the chemicals around my dog. Comparing my experience with Gregg at Terminix to my my previous pest control: I previously used Ecoshield and I once caught the technician getting in his truck to leave my house without performing the service as I arrived home 2 minutes before the START of my service window (for an appt automatically scheduled by the company that I was only notified of the night before). He told me the appointment window is for the technician-not the customer- and that he tries to stay ahead of the schedule. That company obviously tries to avoid performing services while still charging monthly contract fees. But Gregg at Terminix is so up front with scheduling that he always personally confirms a week in advance, not just through the company's automated calendar.
