We saw great reviews for this place and decided to try it! We ordered for pickup but called to ask if we can come and dine in which the person on the phone said it was ok! She let us know it was very busy right now so they would need about 30 minutes. Which worked perfect for us. We entered a very industrial area and we thought “how could a restaurant be here?”. Until we saw a banner of a cat that said “Sweet Corner Cafe”. There is a huge hill and 3 more of those cat banners. It leads to a door, which will take you down a hallway. Eventually you reach a door with the same cat banner. And you are greeting by the loveliest angel of a human (Chelsea). She is kind sweet and hospitable. Chelsea was still cleaning up after a huge lunch rush, and there were dirty cups and dishes stacked on various tables. She calls us into the main dining area where a little table and two chairs sit, with cloth covering, like a wedding table with those white cloth coverings and pink satin bows. Again the other tables are covered with plates that need to be bused. Clearly Chelsea is the only front person and the place must have been popular to have so many dishes being used!!
Chelsea explains the busy rush, and she was still getting things in order. She brought our drinks out quickly (iced pouches, we ordered the HK style tea, and the caramel coffee - not pictured). We ordered the Portuguese sausage egg over fried rice, and the baby back ribs and fried rice. The portions are generous and the food is AMAZING. I mean delicious!!!
I am still completely blown away by this little hidden gem in a totally random location in AIEA, in an industrial section. My partner lives in AIEA and whenever I visit he always feels there isn’t any restaurant that is like a wow must have. After we found this restaurant, we were seriously wowed and agreed we would want to come back here when I visit next. Chelsea was curious and asked us questions about ourselves, and she even chased us with our tip telling us it was too much. We insisted as we were very happy with the food and her service, and she was so genuinely grateful.
I can’t wait to come back and visit and try more items on...

Read moreSweet Corner Cafe truly is a hidden gem that we will be going back to! My son and I came in recently for breakfast after we had just dropped our dog off for surgery at his vet and we were trying to calm our worries. Chelsea was so welcoming and while some may say the ambience is lacking or not up to their ideals, my son and I honestly felt like we were being welcomed into her home. She helped ease our worries, brought many smiles to our faces, and I kept telling my son I absolutely adore her. She truly was the perfect hostess. (And Chelsea, Jake did well in surgery and is recovering at home now!) Now, onto the food. I have to eat gluten free and when I heard they had gluten free bubble waffles, I knew that's where we were going to eat. Little did I know, they also have local eggs and pineapple sausage and I needed those as well. It was all gluten free and delicious!! Chelsea was very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and said they even have a dedicated fryer. My son ordered bacon and eggs atop a bubble waffle and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well. For drinks, he had the guava black tea, and I had the Hong Kong coffee milk tea and both were good. Chelsea was sweet enough to give my son a drink on the house for his upcoming graduation and it, too, was tasty. They all come in reusable Caprisun like pouches, which we liked. They also serve Menehune water, which IYKYK, and if you don't know, it's the best. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and are excited to come back for more yummy gluten free dishes and to be hosted...
