Fort Hase Beach is a secluded and pristine stretch of shoreline located on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, offering a peaceful escape from the more crowded beaches on the island. The soft golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of Kaneohe Bay make it an incredible spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Oahu.

Since access is restricted to military personnel and their guests, the beach remains uncrowded, making it perfect for a quiet day by the ocean. The waves can get a bit strong at times, making it a great spot for experienced surfers and bodyboarders, but on calmer days, it’s also a nice place to swim and wade in the shallows. The backdrop of the Koʻolau Mountains adds to the breathtaking scenery, making this beach truly special.

If you have access to MCBH, Fort Hase Beach is a must-visit. Whether you’re looking to surf, take a peaceful walk along the shore, or just enjoy the sound of the waves, this hidden gem is a perfect...

This is located on the Marine Corp base, so a DoD ID is required to visit. There is always plenty of parking with several lots right next to the beach. It's too rocky for swimming. It's more for laying in the sun, playing in the sand, or a nice walk. My favorite part is the rocky area on the far left side. There's a path through the rocks & you can find a lot of wildlife. The only downside is the trash & the smell, which can sometimes be a little too stinky...

We go daily and pick up trash. You wouldn't believe but we get a small garbage bag almost everyday... fishing line, a plastic four ft. hockey stick, beer cans, plastic wrappers, gum wrappers, etc. I don't pick up cigarette butts. If I did, I could fill another grocery bag full. Other than that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln? The beach itself is beautiful, quiet, and the views to Bird Poop Island and back into Kailua and beyond are...

Fort shade beach is one of the most enjoyable spots to relax on MCBH. Nice sandy beaches if you are inclined to sit in the sand. Even on a Sunday afternoon I was able to park six feet away from the sand. On the east end of the base there is a small stretch of beach somewhat protected by reef structure even at high tide. Very very little shade is the only draw back.
