Read moreThis is located on the Marine Corp base, so a DoD ID is required to visit. There is always plenty of parking with several lots right next to the beach. It's too rocky for swimming. It's more for laying in the sun, playing in the sand, or a nice walk. My favorite part is the rocky area on the far left side. There's a path through the rocks & you can find a lot of wildlife. The only downside is the trash & the smell, which can sometimes be a little too stinky...

You wouldn't believe but we get a small garbage bag almost everyday... fishing line, a plastic four ft. hockey stick, beer cans, plastic wrappers, gum wrappers, etc. I don't pick up cigarette butts.
