Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10)

If you’re looking for an authentic Hawaiian experience that combines history, craftsmanship, and natural skincare, North Shore Soap Factory in Waialua is an absolute must-visit! Located just minutes from Haleiwa, this charming family-run business has been handcrafting natural soaps, oils, and lip balms since 2001, all inside a beautifully preserved historic sugar mill.

🧼 The Art of Handmade Soap

This is the soap — truly one of a kind. Every bar is handmade with love, from mixing and pouring to stamping and labeling. The factory uses only natural ingredients, free from harsh chemicals, making their soaps perfect for sensitive skin.

You’ll find a large selection of products, including: Luxurious body soaps and scrubs Skin-nourishing oils and balms Beautifully tinted lip balms Fun, colorful soaps with tropical scents

Each soap is unique in color, texture, and fragrance — and the best part? You can create your own design at the “Soap Stamping Bar”, where guests personalize their soap with custom stamps. A one-of-a-kind souvenir that’s as unique as Hawaii itself!

We went to the soap factory because it was on the list of things we could get into with our go City pass while we were on our trip. It is located in the Old sugar Mill in the town. Look for the big metal structure with like a smoke stack on top. Big upside down funnel. A lot of the rooms inside the building were built with repurposed material it's fun to have them explain where the items came from.

You have to sign up for the tour. It was about a 15-20 minute walk around their facility. They showed how they make their soap, Bath bombs, body butter, chapstick etc. At the end of the tour they give you some soap samples that you're able to stamp with various designs that they also stamp their soap with.

Lovely little store. Lots product. The smells and colors are lovely. The smells can almost be overpowering so be mindful if your sensitive.

The prices are what to be expected in Hawaii. It does seem to be a very high quality product so you get what you pay...

Seriously, you HAVE to check out Hawaiian Bath & Body ® from the North Shore Soap Factory! Every single time I use one of their products, it’s like a mini-vacation. You can instantly tell a different person wrote this, someone with a real passion for the islands. The fact that they handcraft everything and use incredible, local ingredients like Kukui nut oil and Big Island honey just makes it feel so authentic and special. I love that the ingredients are super clean, paraben, phthalate, and SLS free, so you know you’re treating your body right. But honestly, the best part is the unique scents! They are an aromatic postcard that genuinely smells like Hawaii, instantly transporting you to the tropics. I highly encourage you to try it; you’re not just buying a product, you’re bringing a little piece of that warm, blissful...
