I'm staying nearby for the week and my family and I decided to check this place out. I can't remember the last time I've been this impressed by the workers and service of a business. From the moment we walked in we were offered samples of coffee, chocolate, even shave ice flavorings. We also were offered a tour of the cacao bean and coffee processing areas which after finishing our shave ice decided to take up the offer. I'm not sure the name of the guy who gave us the tour but he was super kind and we all felt very welcome and appreciated as customers. All the other workers were super nice as well and one of the women was even trying to accommodate me with 5lb of ice in a larger bag because they were out of 5lb bags. I ended up just getting 8lbs instead :). But again, i don't think I've ever been somewhere where everyone working seems to care and want to help. This place, they do. Thank you!

Read moreThis was such a cool little place! We were on our way back driving from The Dole Plantation (aka tourist trap) and stumbled upon a sign leading to this store. As we were looking around, Reba approached us and asked if we wanted a tour of the coffee and chocolate estate. We saw staff sorting beans and washing beans, the holding containers, press containers, etc. Not knowing what we were going to see, it was very authentic and Reba told us everything there is to know of the coffee and chocolate process and history. This was the real deal. We were even offered various samples of coffees and chocolate! This is definitely a must see! Reba even recommended a few local places to see and eat and they were delicious! I'm so glad we stopped.
You will find lots of souvenirs, coffee, chocolate, novelty items and more. There are also other locally owned and operated shops in that same area.
They do have shaved ice here and I hear it is the best around. We didn't have any only because we had coffee and chocolate samples from our tour....
Read moreThis place is spectacular. First, it is set up in an Old Sugar Mill ( in addition to other surrounding businesses) but has a quirky tourist appeal with Hawaiian items. It is impressive that Wailua Coffee is grown, and hulled next door. They buy it and you can see them roasting it in a big machine set up art the front of the store. * Sidenote- this process does not smell as good as coffee being brewed. I get espresso here and enjoy them. My favorite is the shave ice- their natural pineapple is the best shave ice on Oahu and I have been to ALL the shave ice stores- the natural dragon fruit and banana are choice as well. Bill, the owner is often around and give you the run down himself if approached, very cool guy. I go at least once a week for espresso /shave ice; sometimes...
