The lady at the check in was very nice although it was hard to hear her behind the glass wall and with her wearing a face mask. Washrooms were clean. The restaurant looked like good food but we didn't get anything. The pro shop itself was closed so I can't comment on it. A great price for visitors coming to the island.
We played a twilight round starting just after 1pm. We had a 3 some in front of us, 2 in front of them, 2 some again and then a four some. Every hole was a slow play. The group in front if us waited until the group in front of them were on the green almost every hole. If they could hit a long distance I wouldn't mind but they could only hit about 150 yds at a time. This slowed things even more as well as the one fellow walked slowly to his ball. We did come up in seeing the group of 4 going the opposite direction. There was nobody in front of them and they took their sweet time and talked alot before teeing off. Wish the course had a Marshall to push them along.
The course itself is pretty good shape and looks like they are making more improvements. A couple of the tee boxes looked well used but still very good condition. The fairways were cut nicely and along the sides were also cut slightly higher than the fairways. Some of the greens were absolutely amazing. Just wish my ball understood it was supposed to go I to that hole in the ground on the...

The good: Tee boxes are kept up, and usually has nice grass.
Fairways are nice with just a few bare spots here and there.
Greens are nice and smooth, putts roll nicely. The greens are also receptive, so we can have fun some spin on our chips and pitches. No bald spots on the greens, people need to fix their divots, but still pretty smooth. Sand traps around the green mostly has sand. A few traps the sand is packed down pretty hard , but the staff does replace it from time to time.
The staff recently made strides in keeping the trees and brush trimmed. Finding your ball is a little easier.
The bad: Some sand traps are packed down, a few of them not all.
Couple holes on the back nine had a cart path or paved walkway down the fairways are while back that was removed, grass has not fully grown over the dirt. A few bare spots because of that.
Only putting green located here, no driving range. No restaurant or food on location.
There's a few holes with dog legs that one can try to cut the corner and hit over the trees. Makes it a fun challenge try to get a little closer to the hole.
Course is pretty flat and good for walking. A lot people walk and pace of play is still...
Read moreCourse is OK. Reason I’m giving it a 1 star is the starter or the staff in the counter is very rude. He has an attitude and talks down on people. The thing is he’s a muni employee. I’m a paying customer and I never got any pleasant interaction with this a-hole. I am not even demanding anything or confrontational. He angrily talked to me like I did something bad. Not sure if he is selective with who he deals with. If that is the case that makes it worst. My goodness! Why does the municipality hire people like that. No customer service whatsoever. I played in most courses here, in the mainland and abroad and never got treated badly or talked to like I’m a child except this course. Never playing there again. Bad experience and left a sour taste...
