I ordered 2 chairs on 7/24/2020, was told the delivery date would be 6-8 weeks it is now been going on 6 months. I have never gotten a call from them letting me know the status of the chairs, I have always had to call them to have them tell me it will be another 2-4 weeks. The customer service at the Waite Park, MN store has not been helpful at all. When calling in September the date was moved to the end of September, then it was moved to the middle of October. After calling in October I was told the middle of November and that these chairs were coming from Ashley Furniture in Wisconsin and due to COVID they are late, they will be here the end of NOVEMBER, calling on November 27th the sales person said "We told you the end of November and we will contact you then. Proceed to call the afternoon of November 30th and the chairs are now not in and they don't know when they will be in. The guy that talked to me then I think his name was Ryan he told me "I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION AGAIN, WE WILL CALL YOU WHEN THEY COME IN." Thinking that they could at least give me free delivery for them not being in this long, they were going to have to talk about it. It took calling the Corporate office which the person was shocked that they didn't even offer free delivery he gave that to me. Which I realize now they are offering free delivery to everyone. After talking with corporate 12/7/2020 Waite Park would be contacting me within 48 hours to clear this up I finally got a call on the 12/12/2020 letting me know that only one of my chairs would be available on the 12/23/2020. I ordered 2 of the same chairs and why now will there only be one delivered? Will I have to wait another 22 weeks for the other one? I went into the Waite Park location today just to look at the chair I ordered and see what they had to say, the lady was rude as soon as we walked in the store. I will never recommend this store to anyone again. I understand that with the COVID things can be delayed but Wisconsin has not been locked down as Minnesota has, and whatever happened to customer service? I would like to know how many people have waited this long to get their furniture delivered. It would be one thing if this was a special order but it was just like the one they have as the floor model. The sales lady said "I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT CANCELLING YOUR ORDER BECAUSE YOU WILL GO BACK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST." I think there should be some resolution to this if every person had to wait this long for delivery I don't think they would be in...
Read moreI purchase a lift chair for my mother for $1200 (expensive) and picked it up on 2/2/2024. This was the quickest way to get it for her(she broke her hip and needed it). I did ask what happens if there’s something wrong with it? They said I had 5 days to return it or if it needed replaced they would let her keep the faulty one, until the new one .
The back of the chair was visibly crooked I called on 2/7 and they told me to file a claim and resent my receipt. I did, as told, they said they were sending out a technician to look at it. The repair company rescheduled a visit and then called the night before to reschedule. On the second attempt, the technician, who was extremely rude, apparently arrived late and must have knocked on the wrong door. ( Again, my mother has a broken hip, so she was there with the glass door open all day. ) When I inquired if he was at the correct home, he sent me a photo he took of the front of the home from his cell. My mom lives in a duplex, and although he had the correct address, the picture of the door he went to was her neighbors. He refused to acknowledge his error. I requested he not come back. So next technician comes almost a month after purchase, says there is something wrong with the chair, will order a part and left. Now they’re asking for me to locate the serial number, which means dismantling the chair.
So I call the O’fallon slumberland store (where I purchased) speak to Eric and he informs me I should call the repair company and ask for a supervisor. I have no number only a generic email. He said he could not help. At this point I would just like a replacement chair. He says I have to work with the manufacture’s warranty. He also informed me, there is only a 1 year manufacture’s warranty, regardless of the fact it arrived damaged. What a hassle, for a lot of money, especially when it didn’t arrive in...
Read moremy initial experience was great my sales person was friendly etc We spent a great deal of money buying new living room and dining room furniture. The sales person sold us a service package "if anything goes wrong with the furniture your covered type thing" great. Our furniture gets delivered and we immediately start having complications with the couch ! This shouldnt even fall under service warranty stuff this is obviously a defective product - lots of calls and 3 services calls later we are told the service plan doesnt cover mechanics !! After arguing with slumberland because this couch isnt even 3 months old , they replace the couch , they replace it however with what I believe to be a showroom model 4 months after our initial delivery. Now 9 months later the replaced couch they had on hand is literally falling apart the side is leaning ......... Once again the service warranty we were sold doesnt cover that ( no frame issues ) !! Basically I was sold a piece of junk couch, wasted a bunch of money on furniture I am embarrassed by. I have no small kids rough housing on this furniture, it is used by adults and more often than not its 1 adult sitting on this couch. Its absolutely absurd that we should be having so many issues!
I would love nothing more than to completely replace the set all together and be done with it ! ( a couch should last YEARS not months ). The couch should be replaced and seeing how this is the second one in 13 months, why on earth would I want the a same one again! Why would I believe this couch or a replacement of this same couch would hold up for even a year ?! I deserve a couch that will last that is what I paid for.
I will update when it...
