The Guild Tavern & Social House — Restaurant in Oakdale

We are currently eating here, and I’m legitimately confused. When we were seated, we were handed a tiny piece of paper with 5 menu items on it, something we assumed was an advertisement for their daily specials. However, when no one gave us the menu we saw online even after taking our drink order, I asked if we could please have menus. We were reluctantly given one full menu for three people. I see a few other reviews that mention the limited menu, I think they give you a small one hoping you’ll order from that, but we came for cheese curds, burgers, etc. which were not on the small menu. When I placed my individual order, the waiter suggested I try something completely different on the small menu, obviously trying to push me toward it. It was very confusing, and we watched as each new party came in and sat down, looked at the small menus in a confused way, and eventually the waiter or waitress would give the table one menu. It’s odd, and makes you feel uncomfortable about ordering from the actual menu. I’ll note that we sat down at 5pm, so not a weird time to eat dinner, and ordered things that were almost exclusively deep fried, so super ray for the kitchen. I think it’s weird to have to request a real menu; if you have a limited menu on certain days or at certain times, advertise that. But don’t have a full menu then keep it a secret from customers and/or try to get people to not order from it. After sitting for 5 minutes finally got water. The menu is very minimal. Never got to try the food. After waiting 30 minutes for the waitress to come over and take our order, she never came back. Waitress brought drinks for the table that sat next to us and offered to take their order within 7 minutes of them sitting down....

This place must have been bought out by someone else because it's totally changed. They give you paper plates and plastic cups, no free drink refills anyways. The menu is a lot shorter than it was before. We went during bingo and the prices went up as well. Just sad how much it has changed. Don't...
