We have lived in the Oberlin area for 13 years now, and I have shopped here many times. Yes, it's a little more expensive than other places. Yes, the selection of items is nice for a smaller store. My experience today with the rude staff, however, is the last straw. I agree with the previous reviews that highlight the rudeness of the staff here, and they won't get any more business from me. The cashier who checked me out today was the rudest I have encountered in this store. She seemed more interested in greeting and talking with her friends who were just entering the store and beginning to shop than she was in helping those of us who wanted to check out. She was also unbelievably rude to my son, who was a few people ahead of me in line. All eyes were on us and no other associate corrected her. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a store and will never be going back. However, the owner is very kind and said they would look into the camera footage. Hopefully they’ll hire kinder and more professional staff...

That was 4 years ago. Lately the store is emptier and emptier. Can't get things like coke, cereal, paper towels, just basics. Have to plan on going somewhere else.
Opened a loaf of bread I just bought there, expired 5 days ago.
I love the employees and I will miss them. The checkout ladies, the deli counter, the meat department, all wonderful people.
