MATTRESS WAREHOUSE. We had purchased a King Size mattress from Mattress Warehouse some time ago that felt like we were sleeping in a hole. Based upon their advertised guarantee, we contacted them, first by telephone and then in-person, to try to resolve the problem. We were told that we must produce the Receipt of Purchase to claim the guarantee. I keep all receipts, for every penny that I spend, but it took a couple of days to locate the receipt, since I had recently moved. We then loaded up the defective mattress and headed to the store. The fellow, that identified himself as the store manager, then looked at the receipt and said that he could only give us $200, of the $600 that we had paid for the mattress. I complained, but he countered that he could give me the manufacturer's number and I could work it our with them. He looked at the mattress and said that it must show a depression of at least 2 inches before he could do better. I asked him to lie on the bed to authenticate my claim, but he declined. After much haggling, he raised his offer to $325 credit, which I accepted under protest, and purchased a higher priced mattress. I pointed out their advertised and displayed "guarantee???", to which he only shrugged his shoulders. In my opinion, MATTRESS WAREHOUSE engages in deceptive and crooked business practices. I think that most people would not be able to produce a receipt, or remember the exact date and time that they purchased a mattress. MATTRESS WAREHOUSE does not display or inform of any condition for their advertised and posted product guarantee, and certainly does not say that it is up to the customer to deal with the mattress manufacturer. OMG, I owned a $4,000 mattress that I couldn't sleep on and I slept. on the couch for 4 years. I went to American Freight and didn't find a bed that was agreeable to us and they suggested that we go to Mattress Warehouse. The very first bed I sat and laid down on I told my girlfriend (you gotta try this bed) Mike was the salesman and offered to show us other beds but we went right back to the first one I found. Our credit line was approved on the spot and my old bed set was removed and the installers setup the new bed set the same day. We have a lot of trouble sleeping before this. (4 hours a night). we also tried all types of pillows ranging up to $120 before finding Bamboo Pillows and now thanks to American Freight & Mattress Warehouse working together we owe them everything because we can fall asleep fast and I have no back issues with this bed and my girlfriends hips don't hurt and she doesn't want to get out of bed in the morning. Excellent prices for items that they stock. They carry most regular brands at prices that shame others. You cannot find top shelf brands here like Sleep Comfort, and upper tiers of Serta, but what they offer is usually inexpensive to mid, and some upper level mattresses.

Box springs and headboards are available too. Staff is knowledgeable and patient. Hypoallergenic and some ultra- ergonomic options are available. Some non- stocked premium brands are catalog order only but are quickly available upon request.

I'm not certain of delivery to home and carry away of your old mattress. I'm lucky to have a truck and manage my own mischief in that area and recycled my old mattress, box spring and frame myself. Staff on duty the day I shopped was eager to assist me loading and securing my new purchase and supplied materials to tie it down in bed of my pickup.
