Kingslayer Games — Local services in Oceanside

This store is horrible.

They over price all items, they lie to you about scalpers when they themselves are the true scalpers.

Let me explain…

Charging 200$ for a single ETB, charging people 40% more for a card they can buy on TCGplayer.

I would avoid Kinglsayer games Oceanside like it has the plague. Staff are rude and don’t know anything about what they are selling. This store has really hit rock bottom and with their location of items and respect amongst the community, I find it really hard for this little shop to survive through 2025 with their scalper like attitude and scamming like try’s.

Just recently, Kingslayer games has even branched out into video games because they were doing so horrible in the TCG market. Anytime you need to change your business or branch out it’s clearly due to poor quarter numbers.

I would avoid this place at all costs. You are only wasting your time and everyone else’s time if you step into this store.

There are far better retailers that you can purchase from other then Kingslayer. There are vendors in Carlsbad and Escondido that sell video games, cards and all your collectible needs at half the price and 100% better customer service and satisfaction then Kingslayer.

Please avoid Kingslayer games and do yourself a service by going to a real shop without the scalper scammer mentality and let’s Make...

This happened about a year ago when my friends and I used to consider KSG our venue to go play at.

There was an event at KSG that I brought all of my friends too because it was to assist getting warhammer community going at the Oceanside store.

We went every weekend to show our support.

Until it was a second event. Basically it was a participation event of going and playing warhammer and getting the name of it out there.

There were two players one until I didn't find out until after, one of the players kept harassing my friends and I when we were doing what the event said was to go play warhammer. However this player didn't like the fact I brought as many players in as I did and kept saying we're not "playing the game he's playing" he then proceeded to talk smack about my pregnant wife at the time making sure I overheard it. The store manager proceeded work with the person much closer after we brought it up to him and the manager did nothing but shooed us off like we were nothing.

The other player I mentioned also said the same thing but at a different location.

Needless to say I will never be going back and neither...

My family and I have been coming to this establishment frequently since we’ve gotten back into Pokémon cards and love this shop!

While my wife and I are mainly focused on collecting cards as their prices are pretty great for a local shop but we have had staff members have offered to teach us how to play the actual card game, which was pretty cool to learn!

They have a great variety of card games ranging from MTG to dragonball and even host tournaments.

This shop and it’s staff have been terrific with helping us and going above and beyond with our children that can be a handful at times (special needs) by giving them a chance to select free mystery Pokémon cards from a binder!
