The Hangar 76 — Restaurant in Oceanside

Hangar 76 is a warehouse-style wine and beer bar right across from the Oceanside Airport and Highway 76, hence its namesake. I would describe the interior, but there are plenty of pictures, already. If you're looking for hard liquor, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for quality beers, from Lagers to IPAs, or a handcrafted selection of good wines, look no further. Tipping Pint is the beer side of the building and Carruth Wine Cellars is the wine side... two different businesses in the same building. I've pretty much had every beer and wine sold. I would recommend some of my favorites, but you can just walk up and ask for a taste. The people are friendly (see Adam and Morgan) and the atmosphere is generally mellow. It's not a rowdy bunch. My favorite place to come to! They always have something fun going on. Trivia every Tuesday at 6pm and the hostess is so much fun, it’s really relaxed and she just makes sure everyone is having a good time. They do monthly dance nights (salsa, line dancing, etc. by McCann Dance), they’ve done a speed dating night, comedy shows, monthly karaoke, and live music on the weekends! Tipping Pint’s beer is delicious and the pizzas are made to-order in their pizza oven, SO yummy. Sometimes they do food trucks too. I’ve seen a couple reviews on here about the kids that sometimes get out of hand, but they have posted around the building some house rules to make sure everyone is safe but still family friendly. Tough to beat a location as accessible and fun as this one. Carruth has a great reputation and places like this, their superior wines and in this case suds as well are one of the reasons. They boast a beautiful Interior, clean, Organized and spacious. Plenty of room to sit and sip while you chat with friends or you can belly up to the beer bar and watch your favorite sporting event while you argue with yourself over which new brew is the best.
