I was told on the phone while making my appointment that the doctor could help me with my anxiety. They said yes, and that my appointment would only be $40. When I get there they took my vitals before any paper work was signed or filled out. The doctor came in and said she could not help me with my anxiety and told me I should see a psychiatrist because she is not authorized to prescribe me Xanax. What doctor can't prescribe Xanax? I was then informed my bill for nothing was $166 I told them I wasn't paying me and they convinced me to at least pay for the appointment and that it was now $55. I am now being billed the rest of the money that they told me they would not charge me. I have tried to get a hold of supervisors and they just transfer me to a voicemail and I never get a call back. It has been 4 months or more. Since then I found a regular doctor at Scripps who only charged me $35, got to know me, was really nice and prescribed me my Xanax. See the difference? Their office building was in an apartment complex parking lot. The one on Mission in Oceanside. The inside wasn’t bad, but the location of the office was strange. I wasn’t sure I was in the right place. If you don’t have insurance and you are paying cash… or if you want to actually be cared for by real doctors who won’t scam you for money and don’t have the basic license to prescribe anything… Go...
Read morePretty bad experience here and definitely would not recommend this place. I had a consult with PA K. Allen on a Monday the 7th. She was supposed to have my script sent in by Wednesday the 9th. Its now the 21st and she has not sent my script into the pharmacy. I have reached out to True Care several times for an update and every time they respond with: "Thank you for the request, we are awaiting a response from the doctor." Followed by no response. Then they suggested that maybe I should come in for another consult, which made no sense. I just need the script from my previous consult. Definitely going to check with medical board on this situation. Treating a patient like this should be illegal.
I only give this place a 2-star because Dr. Maritza Wilson was an excellent doctor. Too bad she is no longer working...
Read moreChoi is not a doctor as they call her. She’s a nurse practitioner i think? I would strongly not recommend her especially if you have someone in your family with a disability. When you call to fill a prescription they call her Dr Choi. She misdiagnosed my family members condition even though Kaiser had diagnosed the issues in 2011and I provided the records. Simple things like a flu shot. Fine to go. It’s been a nightmare trying to...
