Read moreI really hate to leave a bad review, but I've only been a member a few months and I'm beyond frustrated. First of all, they've disappointed my kids numerous times by cancelling things at the last minute. I understand when storms cause unsafe conditions, but there's no reason to wait until we are literally walking into the pool at lesson time to tell us that our lesson is cancelled, especially when it has been storming all day. A simple email would save us a lot of wasted time. They've cancelled two swim lessons (that I paid for) and never bothered to make them up. I tried signing up for a sport, but they also only promise 30 minutes of notice when cancelling any games. Hive 20 minutes from the Y, so basically l'm supposed to get everybody ready and loaded up in the car and pray it isn't a waste of time. Not to mention, they didn't drop the schedule for games until one week before the first game, and they misinformed everyone about what days the games would be. Communication is TERRIBLE. Anytime I reach out via call or email, I don't get a response, even if it's urgent. It's not even a delayed response, just no response, ever, for anything. I've heard this same complaint from multiple people. There have also been multiple occasions where the kids area is closed because 'no one showed up to open it. The pool has been closed to new swimmers a few times when we tried to visit due to lack of lifeguards. There's 0 communication from swim lesson instructors on a child's progress, and I had to take a guess at which swim level my child was ready for when it was time for the next session of lessons. So yes, the staff is nice, but the actual programs are so poorly managed and unorganized that you're taking a gamble by paying for anything or getting your kids excited for...
Read moreI really like this place... I do! The people are nice and the place is always clean! However, I wish the locker rooms were better. I love to go workout and my two younger children love to swim. However, when we swim, we only have two options where we can shower and change since they are under 18. The family restrooms shower drain barely drains and the floor ends up all wet... hard to put dry clothes on with the floor all wet from people coming in and using the restrooms or showering. The under 18 is the same problem, the only place to change is in the shower stall and the floor is flooded or the toilet stall and the floor is... just gross. Slimy... dirty... im not going shoeless. 🤢 The only "safe" place to change is the over 18 where they have changing stalls. So forgive me if you see small children in the adults locker room. My children don't want complete strangers to see them NAKED! Watching them undress and dress. The family stall is not made for changing into dry clothing. In the summer it is no big deal, but in the winter I would prefer being completely dry before leaving...
