If I could leave a zero, I would. This is absolutely the worst grocery store I have ever been to. What an embarrassment to our state and the homeland company. The 2nd worst grocery store one is right next to their headquarters. Whoever designed and planned, these two stores should be fired immediately if they haven’t already.
You need to completely demolish and level make it a two-story or buy more property to build a store like Nichols Hills. When crest opens up down the street I hope they run you out of business.
In response: Store size is terrible Layout is terrible The width of the aisles is unacceptable They really should be the minimum of three large adults.
Learn a few things from your Oklahoma Giant competitor Crest. They have huge inventories Huge stores plenty of room to move And the sense of urgency to get you in and out of the store full and happy.
Product selection is terrible Empty shelves are unacceptable Lack of and/or quality employees who care. General store knowledge. Lack of management/leadership Is unacceptable If your product is terrible, it is almost impossible to staff it with quality people to represent and service a broken store.
And you can pretty much duplicate the same vibe for your 36th and Lincoln location.
Looking back at all of my Homeland experiences I would have to say NICHOLS Hills is number one followed by...
Read moreI usually enjoy shopping at Homeland because it’s conveniently located near my home, and the gentlemen in the meat department are always friendly and helpful. However, the front-end service really needs improvement. On my recent visit, there was an older cashier with a disability who was doing her best to assist customers. While she was kind and efficient, the line began to grow, and it was clear she needed support. Unfortunately, I watched four other employees stand nearby chatting instead of stepping in to help. I ended up bagging my own groceries to assist her, and even then, the other employees just stood there and eventually walked away. Another customer in line shared my concern, so I know I wasn't alone in feeling this was unacceptable. Homeland needs to seriously address its customer service and ensure all staff are properly trained and willing to assist when needed. This experience was disappointing and could have been easily avoided with better teamwork...
Read moreTurn around and find another grocery store if it is past 8p.m.
I have never been to a grocery store that closes all but one line 60 to 90 minutes prior to closing, with a line of 8-12 patrons waiting to check out. Only once have I waited in line through this nonsense. I arrived at 8:40pm only to leave 40 minutes later, for 3 items. The self checkout stations were closed, and an employee was closing down one of those registers.
I have walked out on other visits, as well.
Tonight, my husband didn't make it past the entrance, choosing to turn around and leave. Driving a few miles east, as we have in the past, seems to be the only solution for an evening grocery run past 8p.m.
There are several employees in the store. A manager should open another register to resolve this issue.
Customer service is not at the top of their list.
I do not recommend going to this grocery store unless your time is not valuable, or you have...
