I recently had the pleasure of shopping at Uptown, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish, truly deserving of a 5-star review. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The store's layout is thoughtfully designed, making it easy to navigate and find exactly what I was looking for without any hassle. The variety of products available at Uptown is simply astounding. Whether you're looking for the latest fashion trends, high-quality accessories, or unique home decor items, Uptown has it all. Each product is carefully curated, ensuring that customers have access to only the best. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail and the quality of the items I purchased. What truly sets Uptown apart, however, is the exceptional customer service. The staff are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about helping customers. They took the time to understand my preferences and offered personalized recommendations that suited my style perfectly. It's rare to find such a high level of dedication and care in today's retail environment. Additionally, the store is always impeccably clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant shopping experience. The fitting rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the checkout process is smooth and efficient. I also appreciate the various promotions and discounts Uptown offers, making it possible to find great deals on high-quality products. Winning the $100 in-store credit would be an amazing opportunity for me to explore even more of Uptown's fantastic offerings. However, even without it, Uptown has undoubtedly earned my loyalty and continued patronage. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a top-notch shopping experience. Thank you, Uptown, for consistently providing such an outstanding service and for making every visit a memorable one! I find cute and clean washed clothes there that make me feel good about myself...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at Uptown Cheapskate in Oklahoma City. I placed an item on layaway after the employee assisting me told me that if I changed my mind, I could get a refund. That was the only reason I agreed to move forward and signed the layaway contract — based on what I now know was false information.
I understand that I signed the contract, but I did so under deceptive circumstances. I was misled by the employee, and I never would have agreed to the layaway if I had been told the truth about their refund policy.
When I returned a few days later to cancel the layaway (never having picked up the item), I was told refunds aren’t allowed. I spoke with a second manager over the phone who was dismissive, interrupted me repeatedly, and refused to take accountability. She claimed the issue was just “hearsay,” and said they asked the employee — who denied saying I could get a refund.
All of this happened in less than a week. The employee who helped me clearly had limited experience — she followed a guidebook and said she had only done a few layaways. Instead of acknowledging that I was misinformed, the store chose to defend itself and ignore the situation.
It’s clear they care more about keeping the money than doing what’s right for the customer. They would rather lose a loyal customer than accept responsibility and fix the problem. I’m sharing this to warn others about how this store conducts business and how poorly they treat customers when mistakes are made. I really enjoyed shopping here however, I will no longer conduct business with a company who is unable to apologize and make...
Read moreMy name is India Harris, and I've browsed and shopped here on several occasions. Staff is pleasant and friendly. On today I took a few things by, to maybe sell, Air Jordans, Air Max, Rockport men's shoes, Nike men's shorts , etc. I was told to come back after twenty minutes, I did, and was told they couldn't authenticate the Air Jordans, and clothes had to be two to three years old to sell. But she kindly offered to donate them to two charities, I dare not, how do I know my items won't be put in their inventory and sold However, I took the same clothes to Plato's Closet, the Air Jordans were authenticated, and they took several other items, with no problem, commented on what great shape the items were, paid me a pretty good amount, and I was out the door in 18 minutes. Not sure about upscale/maybe a race issue, because I even told the young lady, you can't take these decent Nike shorts because there over two years old, 90% of your clothes is over two + years old, and as I was leaving, people were bringing in older things. Again, as I was questioning the young lady, she would never look at me, as I was calling her out on things that made no sense. I always used to brag or reference customers to your location, however, I will have to rethink, because I feel I was slighted and prejudiced against on my experience today. Went five minutes to Plato's , they took all but two pairs of Air Max and a...
