This was, by far, the worst customer service I have ever received at a restaurant. Not even my food being good can make up for that fact.
To start, I will say we had a large group. 15 people at three tables outside. Our waiter came to our table first, asked what the kids wanted to drink, left to get their drinks, brought them back, left again, returning with a bunch of waters and sat them among our three tables. She never once asked any of the adults what they wanted to drink, and instead, just kept bringing a bunch of waters to our tables, filling up the tables with cups.
The Food. The second table got all of their plates first. No silverware. After returning with a handful of silverware quite a while later, the second table eventually finishes their food as the third tables' food arrives. After two more rounds of food all dispersed at random intervals, we finally almost have all of our food. After all the main dishes arrive, we are missing two sides. At this point, the kids are needing refills on their drinks, I still need silverware as there wasn't enough the first round, the sides are missing, and we need napkins. This wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't already asked multiple times, with multiple different people, and weren't beyond frustrated already from having to wait so long for those things.
Our waitress never once apologized or really even spoke at all. She only acknowledged our 3rd table once, in our two hour visit. She never used a notepad or her tablet to keep track of our order or what was missing and genuinely did not seem to care. I get how things are these days. I know places are short staffed and a table of 15 is a lot. But there wasn't even a bare minimum effort here. And seeing as how we were there for a family gathering and waited almost an hour to get seated, it really felt like an awful experience to us all.
I generally only write long reviews like this when an experience has been exceptionally awful because I am a super patient, tolerant, and understanding person. But I would never recommend this place to anyone, ever.
To end, my burger was fantastic. It's just too bad the service left a bad taste...
Read moreMy dear friend and I just enjoyed the absolute BEST Breakfast this morning at Sunnyside #2 - SW 89th & Western. We got there @ 9:30 and the place was full, except for the BEST Booth in the house - far left corner where we sat. I had the “Hangry Man” although it’s way more than I could finish, I think the name is so funny that’s what I picked lol. The coffee was fresh - rich, strong and piping hot! The blueberry lemon pancakes were giant, fluffy and beyond heavenly! The link sausage and crispy bacon were smokey, tender and delicious. Eggs & a large portion of perfectly cooked hash browns were spot on. Delicious meal! This is by far the perfect place for a NICE BREAKFAST - a Celebration or even a First Date - over and above on ALL levels and the prices are more than fair for all you get. The Atmosphere is casual and friendly. Our Server Ms. ANDREA could not have been more darling! Excellent service with a sweet smile - she kept our coffee topped off the entire visit (they have really good coffee, a lot like Starbucks mmm). It’s SO refreshing to get such great service in a restaurant these days!! Cudos to the Manager FALLON who has put together a fabulous Team at this SW OKC location. BTW - This was my first meal I’ve been able to enjoy “outside my home” in 16 months as I’ve been home bound with a serious health condition, unable to walk and hiding from the corona. I debated for a week where we would go for my “First Time Back Out” into the real world again. I am SO SO glad we chose Breakfast @ Sunnyside and Sweet Andrea was our angel (we even purchased two of their bright yellow smiley faced coffee cups as souvenirs) - And we will absolutely be back! I’m going for the Chilaquiles next time + Avocado Toast - yum OR maybe one of the Eggs Benedict variations - love all the great choices...But, for the record - You can’t go wrong with The...
Read moreI’ve been looking forward to trying this diner for a while. Sad to say that am incredibly disappointed.
When my waitress arrived she wasn’t welcoming or friendly. I love biscuits and gravy so I ordered the country cream gravy biscuits, with bacon and no eggs since I’m allergic to them. My waitress didn’t ask if I’d like to sub something in their place, even though I heard another waitress ask her table if he wanted to sub his eggs for something else.
My waitress also never once came back to my table after dropping my plate off so I couldn’t ask for a coffee warm up or tell her how odd the texture of the gravy was. I rarely ever leave biscuits and gravy on my plate but between the dense almost mushy feeling of the biscuit and the weird texture of the gravy, I didn’t finish mine. I also always leave a 20% tip but didn’t leave a tip for this waitress because I even had to go up to the counter and ask someone else if I could pay. If I was a different person, I could have left without paying and she probably wouldn’t have even noticed for who knows how long.
If you are in the service industry then you should be prepared to offer a welcoming experience where you assist the customer with their needs. Otherwise you should find a different job. Telling me to “have a nice day” after that experience shows how out of touch she is with the experience...
