This is the worst Big Y around as far as customer service.
I have had several negative experiences here, including overhearing the stock associates using profanity and saying negative things about our country's military service members on the sales floor.
However, the customer service in the deli is horrendous. It takes FOREVER to get two simple items. The communication is very poor and customer service is not a priority. When I asked for help today because my young son was at the end of rope with the length of the shopping trip already, I actually got told "no" and that they were "too busy".
30 minutes is too long to wait for turkey and chicken salad. Management needs to step in and support team members who are struggling to complete their job duties in a proficient and timely manner--as well as train their staff about the correct ways to speak to customers and support their fellow team members when they are clearly struggling. Taking out their stress on customers is not a good look.
I do not care about the convenient location any more, I will be shopping elsewhere...

I recently shopped at Big Y and selected two items that had store-provided coupons displayed right next to them. When I went to check out, I was told that the coupons were expired. I did not bring these coupons from outside; they were placed by the store itself.
I had to wait for Manager Cam to come over and assist. Unfortunately, instead of handling the situation professionally and respectfully, he was very rude and dismissive, simply telling me ātoo badā that the coupons were expired. As a manager in customer service, he should have honored the coupons since they were still being advertised by the store, or at the very least handled the situation with courtesy and respect.

Updating my review. Have been going to Big Y for many years now. Still love it. Still think some things are a little pricey but no different than any other grocery store. Very disappointed that they started charging fees for Electric Vehicle charging. They used to give one free hour of charging while you shop. I really enjoyed grabbing a few kilowatt hours while I shopped. It was a nice perk that made me choose Big Y over other stores. I am less loyal now.
