Mentink's Market — Local services in Oostburg

I don't like the idea of my food being handled by a company that doesn't even have their employees wear masks. I see no partitions for the employees at the checkout and I also never see any special sanitizing being done at customer touch-points.

If you want to reminisce about the pre-Covid19 days, then this will be the store for you! But don't worry, you can get a change of scenery and not risk having to run into mask wearing employees at ANY Piggly Wiggly!

Much better than its sister store in Cedar Grove on the bread front. However, since they never seem to have any of the white bread varieties I usually arrive to find a lush variety of rye, sourdough, etc. That would be great if that was something I wanted.

So then, after I was asked to pick up a loaf of bread, a simple grocery store request, I end up going to Sheboygan, where I should have headed to in the first place.

Also, be careful in the produce section, you may find anything from fresh to rotten items. You don't put your avacados on clearance after they have gone bad, you take them...

I went in for Milk Of Magnesia. Very ample section of health aids but I did not see MOM. I approached the area that seemed like it would be customer service and was told it either did not come in with order or else was unavailable for delivery.. Due to the fact that I had to have this today as part of a medical procedure and I was desperate and a far ways from A Walmart I went back for another desperate search and scanned each shelf. Low and behold very bottom shelf inches from the floor...

Only a few staff wear masks. Many of the customers also did not wear masks. Shorts and shoes are required, but not masks. Staff and shoppers are not 6 or more feet away at the checkout, or in the aisles. I will not to shop here any more because of endangerment to my health. Today was a trial run to see if there was a policy change. There is not. I thanked the staff that had masks. So many of my family have suffered badly with Covid. Friends have died. And I am immune...
