If you enjoy flea markets or thrift stores, you will enjoy this.
We went early on a Sunday morning. There are 2 entrances into this area from 42nd street on the Hialeah side and the Gratiny, I think it's called, in Opa Locka. (Please see a map. I wasn't driving.) Cost is $2 per car. Parking was plentiful. Basically, you can park anywhere around the entire radius of this thing. Just park near what looks interesting and remember where you are. We parked near some birds. Can't forget that. We walked more or less in a circle, saw the birds and there was the car. No problem.
Merchants were just opening up. I bought 3 dresses I've not seen online or in other clothing stores, undies, etc. The prices were not terribly cheap, I assume due to the pandemic (everyone's gotta make a living) or Christmas price gouging), but the merchants were willing to haggle a bit with us and bring the price down a tad. Warning, merchants were a little aggressive if you're not use to that sort of thing. Well, aggressive may be too strong a word... Let's say anxious to make a sell.
So, categories of items sold were animals (fish, birds, chickens, rabbits) along with their accessories; shoes for all ages (athletic, flip flops, work boots); limited bedding, beds, sofas, kitchenettes, small electric grills, luggage (everyone seemed to have the exact, same items for sale); work clothes, used tools. We did not find what we came after - a tv wall mount. Didn't see any tvs, either. Only music speakers of all sizes and a couple cell phone shops.
Lastly, there are food vendors with Latin fare. Unfortunately, I didn't taste anything though one of the restaurants smelled amazing through my mask! By the time I was ready to munch, I was tired and couldn't remember where the amazing smell was.
Of course, I didn't see every single store. This flea market was big. I will return some other time and explore the other side. Hope this...

Owner came after sale done. Said no refunds and she wanted to charge $60 for delivery. The most ignorant customer service. Warning: Horrible customer service! Rude and a rip off. Sales person didn’t speak English, an niece translated. She said wouldn’t be any issue to be refunded- if there is any problem. ( As we mentioned prior to buying there was am all sales final- are you sure it would be ok if there is a problem.) After she received cash, and I went to get car- owner came. Read moreI highly DO NOT recommend this flea market. I was recently here on December 27th with my entire family for approximately less than 30 mins and our vehicle was broken in. We had locked all the doors of the vehicle and when we returned we noticed the doors were unlocked. The keyhole of the drivers side had been jammed. Whoever did this/persons had done this before and knew exactly what they were doing. They targeted my family and I and must have been watching us the entire time and knew we were out of state due to our license plate. They stole a Nintendo switch and more. The flea market has poor sanitation and lack of quality of items, not even worth the trip. A local mentioned to my family and I that tourist are always being targeted and that this is not the first time it has happened there. I recommend to all my future tourist to avoid this place and area in general. If I would’ve known this beforehand of how sketchy this place was I would’ve never taken my...
