The financial department is making it hard for students to succeed. My SAP is in failure due to caring for my father before he died from cancer last April. I thought I would be able to keep up with school still while caring for him and working a full time job and stay a full time student. I failed my first semester, but I brought my GPA up with my second semester but not enough to get out of warning status. The financial department told me to make an appeal. I sent everything in by email, but couldn't add the appeal form. So I decided to hand that to them personally and verify with them that they received my email. The lady I spoke with in the office said they did get the email and that she will add the form to my other paper work I sent in the email. I emailed them bi-weekly for updates. I was told someone will reach out to me this week once they have the meeting to go over the appeal cases. I didn't hear anything from them and with yesterday being Friday, I contacted them for an update. They told me my claim was dismissed because it was incomplete without the appeal form. The same appeal form I handed them face to face and verified they had my forms. Within these forms had all my contact information from phone numbers to emails to even my home address. No one messaged me to verify any of the information I gave them or to even tell me if anything was incomplete. If they did, they would have known the error was with them misplacing my documents. They have refused to help me and refuse to take blame for their part in this situation. They can misplace your documents and blame you to cover their unprofessionalism. They want me to resend all my paper work again and wait until next month for their next meeting making me miss any opportunities for a fall semester. I am making a full complaint about this and will be taking my...

And I was also suffered by SUSCC online system. So, i decide to make an appointment in-person, And in SUSCC on Opelika, Joseph Halsey, who is the kindest person in SUSCC Opelika, helped me and my father to understand all about enrollment and make my appointment about accuplacer test, and in-person meeting. Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a 1995 alumni, who worked and paid my own way through school here to get my Associateās Degree, I am super disappointed in the Financial Aid Department here. My student needs assistance in getting applications in for the Student Government Aid. Time is running out, and the pages have been down on the site! My student went in with my tax documents, as stated was an option to get our application in, and was brushed off, saying to use the QR code. Workers even saw the links were not in service. Tried 3 different workers hoping to get help 3 different times, for the same outcome. I will never get my student to return into that office, and weād JUST like to know if we are even eligible for assistance to pay for next semester classes before I take it all on...
