Ooohhhh boy... So we just bought a brand new home about 2 miles from this location. Quite frankly, this has been our first time shopping at Menards. Holy hell, what a disappointment! The layout of the store is sooo confusing! We walked around for over an hour in our first visit (been back 2 other times now) and I i still don't know where lumber is! No worries, one of these days we can figure that out. Well, that is if we don't just drive to Lowe's. Why? Well, we went to checkout 😔 I brought to the attention of the cashier that one of the items was on a clearance area. He Did Not Care! For starters, he charged us regular price. I didn't notice at the time. All good. But then when i brought to his attention where the UPC tag was he stated: "can you bring the item to me?" I said excuse me? He's said i need you to bring the own closer, I'm not walking over there. Walking over where exactly? What's this guy talking about? We were so confused to the point we didn't even think he was talking to us. Well, that is until he looked me dead in my eyes and repeated himself. It was baffelling to say the least. My wife reminded me that maybe he's having a bad day. I let it go even though i wasn't feeling like letting it go. However, on our next visit we got him again and it seemed as he remembered me and gave me the nastiest look! We may go back in a few months and see if the employee eventually figures out to be a better human OR he's gone. Either way, we work to damn hard to spend our money at a place that supports employees that treat their customers this way. So it's a hard pass for us...
Read moreWell, i was stopped by a large in height and weight man and prevented my way from leaving. Literally. I was told to not asked to empty my practically empty already backpack. I tried to say no. Explain why I was back buy the sand for too long? And asked them to do their job and review the footage that you know that and every other big box store has of your entire shopping experience in HD...INSTEAD I had to dump my backpack infront of the very intimidatingly large man or else I couldn't leave. Infront of customers I was made to look like a their then held captive and forced to empty my pockets. Wth. I would have liked an apology but you know when you feel dumb some people usually just cops cant get over that ego... that was his problem. Plus he was bad at his job. I had to wear it into the store because I bike there. I guess i spent too much time figuring out if black diamond blastung sand would be ok for use in my aquarium. I decided after some research it wouldn't work for me, so i left. Stores clean, employees could use that computer on their hip to see if they have a product. Instead of saying idk and making me Google it in front of them to tell them whether the product exist even and if so, do they have it? No. OK thanks. Hey at least they fixed this problem. They all carry them now incase im afraid to bring in my phone and be accused of...
Read moreThis menards is like 5 min from my home so I usually come here quite often. Very friendly and helpful staff. I love buying wood and my plumbing supplies here vs anywhere else. Their wood is top quality. Even their lower grade lumber compared to lowes or home depot grade 1 is much better. The plumbing and electrical selection is decent as I hardly ever have to order anything online that they don't have in stock. All around its a great store to shop in that is clean, well stocked, and staffed. I just helped my parents build a house and I am currently remodeling my own. Spent a ton of money here. Would love to see menards come up with a rewards card that digitally logged rebate money vs the mail in way. I do appreciate menards running the 11% rebate during this whole covid19 pandemic and for being open to support people trying to...
