I love this place, love all of the things they offer, even the ones I do not dare nor would I ever dare partake in, such as dirt BMX track. What I would take part in and do is frisbee golf. Before I forget I want to make sure I state my number one reason I love this particular place, which is the ratio between sheer size of this recreational facility and the actual number of visitors. Rarely crowded, it is a hidden gem on a strip of colonial that seemingly offers nothing but car dealerships, auto mechanic stores and liquor-beer-ciggs combination of little grocery/less grocery stores. What adds to it being hidden and also makes it impossible to miss once you know this, is that it is located directly behind the central florida fairgrounds on Colonial Dr. On top of this it is cool to keep in mind that the actual fairgrounds has multitude of events, those for the whole family as well as more specialized shows of a wide variety. Sat & Sun if you choose to go out and visit the park, make sure you also stop by the flea market that starts at 7:30am on both...
Read moreBeautiful park but management is ENTIRELY too strict on their 2pm checkin time! They made us sit in the blazing heat for 2 hours last time we were here! This time we came only less than 30 mins early and they made us wait! They will not check in a second before 1:45!!!! The campsite is literally sitting vacant as is most of the campground. The guys are all three sitting in the office in the Ac and we have to sit here in the heat with our kids and dog for NOTHING! Besides it’s about to storm so we get to sit here just to unhitch in the RAIN!! They have the latest checkin in a three county radius and with other local parks checkouts starting at 10 am that leaves campers going from one park to another sitting stranded for hours! This is NOT a customer friendly practice and needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY!!!! No one holds to the checkin time if the site is ready! Even their sister camps don’t hold this tight to such a ridiculously late checkin time!!! Do...

The people that were on the track said they had to climb the fence to gain access. Both my daughter and husband got cut on the leg trying to hop the fence. Why would the county not open all the facilities at a public park? The parking lot gate was open, so we assumed the track would be open, especially if it is a public park and the public can use it. Such a beautiful park to run in but could not be used. Very...
