In all my years of trucking this facility is the worst I have ever been to. We call ahead to check to see if the load is ready. Woman on the phone says yes. So we head down, guard shack says “load is not ready to come back at 5am the next day”. -but the lady 3 hours ago said it was ready?- “nope come back at 5am. Drop trailer bobtail to next door lot and park.
6am walk to guard shack ask if load is ready. “Oh we can’t do that you have to call this number. Pull your tractor around and check in first.” -If I move I’ll reset my hours how could the lady last night check but now you can’t?- “if you pull around we can” -what difference does it make if the tractor is sitting next to me?!- “Call this number they can check” Proceeds to give me the number I called before we arrived. -this is the number we called before we got here yesterday who told us the load was ready before the guard last night said it wasn’t. How does this help me?- “dunno call that number”.
So I call the number again. Now the lady on the phone says she cannot tell if the load is ready without a final destination. I’m relaying this load and don’t have a final except the drop terminal. “:::long silence:::” -hello?- “I’m here”
The level of incompetence here is astounding. I don’t know if it’s their systems or people with a “not my job” attitude but they’re impossible to work with. Avoid...

Speaking as a vetran yruck driver with decades of experience, Glenmore Distillery has built a new warehouse (2017) they ship out of, but still has same entry for trucks and when more than 4 trucks are waiting for dock assignments, the drive gets plugged. 5-6 hours to get a dock for a live pickup and get loaded and gone are the norm - sometimes as long as 8-10 hours. Also, they are pretty slick in moving appointment times or saying your load is not on the schedule so that if you arrive as the load confirmation appointed time, you are late OR they claim since it wasn't scheduled, no detention is given. Basically, they do what they like. Btw, I've been coming to Sazerac/Glenmore Distillery for more than 15 years, stay away due to the long time it takes them to get...
