Southern Lanes — Local services in Owensboro

Went this Saturday with family to go bowling and played a game and at the end of the first game the last player wasn't given their turn to bowl so we had to have the staff fix that and then while in the 4th round of our 2nd game we were told by staff that we would have to move a lane over in the middle of our game and sit in the next lane over that had at least 10-12 people already in it and were told that we did not have a choice and that we HAD to move over. We asked why we were being moved and they said it was to make room for a party that was coming in and we asked them if we could just finish our game and then we would leave and were told no that we had to move and we then asked if we could get a refund and they told us that we were not allowed to have a refund. The employee then smarted off to us saying that it was our choice and to pick an option but either option wasn't acceptable so we decided that after being treated poorly that we were just going to leave and all the employees were in a group laughing at my family making fun of us and the manager was extremely rude refusing to give us a refund and also laughed at us as we were leaving. Would not recommend I took my family on 7/19/22 paid 4 2 games started on lane 3 as soon as we started bowling so did the problems everytime someone went to bowl the pins didn't set right every single time it doesn't keep score correctly and the reset button on the ball return doesn't work you have to take the cover off reach in to the ball return with all the moving parts pull the wire out and hit the reset button that way we finally had enough they offered to move us to another lane which we did and guess what same problems pins not setting correctly except this time it took 3-5 business days for the ball to return we finally said forget it and asked for a refund because all the problems and they said all the can do is give us a rain check for a free game on our next visit but it has to be within 30 days..I told them I'm never coming back it's over priced and way to many problems so I'll never be going back and don't recommend anyone...

Decided to try and have a fun Saturday afternoon with my family from out of town. Waited two hours for lanes to open. We accepted the wait time since it was a Saturday but when you pay for a service you expect to get a service. Right? Apparently not at southern lanes bowling. It wasn’t only us that was having problems but multiple other lanes as well. Went to the desk and they refused to compensate us fully for games we were not able to complete due to their faulty equipment. We paid for two lanes two games each only fully completed one since the lanes were in complete disarray. Not only were the lanes sub-par but half the arcade had signs saying “Out of order”. Not sure who is the owner and manager but hope they can clearly see the issue. I would be embarrassed to have my name on this establishment.
