I like smaller stores that are more customer oriented... so I had high hopes for this store. I got greeted when I came in the door by a few people and that is always nice. I was with my two young children.... just browsing the aisles before we went to the paint counter to select our paint. I came out of one aisle as one employee was yelling down the middle aisle about how "nobody wants to see porn when they come here" and laughing. I guess a husband and wife who work there kissed each other and the other employee was joking with them. THAT is something my kids dont need to hear..... nor does anyone for that matter. He said he was sorry once he saw my children, but come on..... let's be a little mindful for what we say in the workplace. Save that for a back room where no customers have to hear it. At that point, I went ahead and headed over to get the paint. I let my son pick his color and waited at the paint counter (in the center aisle) for a couple minutes. When no one came over (I thought maybe they would because there were quite a few employees in the store and only a couple shoppers), I thought maybe I needed to ring a bell or something. I saw that there was an electronic button to call for service, so I pushed it. Three different people came over as their radios were going off. The first one there was a middle aged guy. I joked with him and said, "wow, that was like in surround sound." He replied saying that I didn't need to ring the bell because there's always someone around. I was taken aback, but I continued on with my order and purchase. I mean.... if there's always someone around, why weren't they there before I rang the bell? It didnt bother me to ring the bell. I didnt expect someone to follow me around the store, but I didn't expect the attitude this man had. He didn't say much to me throughout. So, I went ahead and checked out after that. The gentleman ringing me out was very pleasant. I took my purchase home and the more I thought well maybe it was just an off day... or maybe they don't like kids coming in...? I don't really know. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I don't need to go back. I would rather drive the extra distance for Lowes or even just go to Walmart..... and that's saying a lot. I'm just overall...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen kicking myself for not getting the name of the guy, but we were camping in the area, in from out of town, and were in need of an adapter for our RV. They didn't have the adapter we needed in stock, but the guy that helped us went above and beyond, searching online & calling other stores in the area to try to track down what we needed. He could have just said, "sorry we don't have it", and moved along, but he really went the extra mile to try to help us, and it really made a huge impression on us. Like I said, I wish I had gotten his name, but it's been over a month, and I'm still remembering it as a case of exceptional customer service, so I thought the least I could do was pop on the old Google and leave a 5 star review. Customer service is almost a lost art this day & age, so I think it's important to give props when & where it's due. Big thanks to that guy & to this store for taking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called ahead and asked to see if they had the product I was looking for in stock and was told by an older gentleman, āYes, absolutely we have it.ā I thought great Iām trying to get my project done in a timely manner and they have what I need. When I pulled in I looked around to see where I needed to park to get the product, couldnāt find it. I asked at the front and was told they had 32 on hand. I said I didnāt see any or know where to go so someone went outside to direct me. Turns out they donāt have any on hand. I wasted my time and energy coming here when all someone had to do was walk outside for 30 seconds and confirm 32 on hand. Or better yet, having the correct numbers in the computer! If you are calling ahead for a specific product make sure you ask if someone can visually confirm they in...
