I love the store and for what they sell and buy believe me I sold to them before and bought from them but the whole staff team are just not trustworthy or follow the store guidelines. I defined believe without a doubt that if you are a close friend to the workers or are close to them just as everyday customers they will give you a lot good service because of the relationship you got with them. I saw one of the workers giving a friend of theirs 60-70 dollars for 4 pieces of clothing they were selling away, not even branded. A friend of mine as had an issue where they didn't even gone through their bag of clothing at all untouched since they remembered the order they put their clothing in and told them ( white girl with short hair)what they were looking for when the bag clearly had all of that. So besides that we went to buffalo exchange where they bought almost the whole bag. Another issue is that I went there on Black Friday and waited in line for this Nickelodeon jacket that was displayed at front but when I went up to the worker and asked her for it (Asian lady with glasses) she put the jacket down and said it's sold. I honestly felt hurt because it's suppose to be first come first serve. I shrugged it off but then a girl who was after me in line went up to her and she gave her the jacket when I was before her! Honestly the workers here put holds for their favorite customers before any other customers in which I don't want any of you guys want to go through so please I advise you want to find something good this location can be it but the staff is not loyal to the store guidelines on first come...
Read more1/24/25 around 10:30am. The buyers at the Pacifica location were making negative comments about the clothes I had brought to sell, amongst eachother saying “we would NEVER buy things like that here” as I was standing by the skirts section. I get that may not be items ur looking for at the moment and that’s perfectly fine, I sell all the time to Plato’s I understand the process. But also I’m not sure what they were talking about cuz unlike most of the things at Plato’s my clothes don’t have stains or holes in them. They were also commenting negatively about the bags I had put my items in which one of them said “where did she get these bags from” as the other employee said “oh she probably got those for free somewhere” it was really hurtful and questionable comments. It was mean girl energy and unfortunately it’s quite always like that at this location. I’m a very loyal customer at this location and feel very upset about this. I feel uncomfortable about selling and let alone buying from this location if that’s how the employees are talking about...
Read moreNo wonder this location has bad/so-so reviews: they don't really buy anything from you despite the condition of clothing being like-new, on their list of what they're buying, and current/on trend. I took a bag there to let go of clothes and see if they would buy a few pieces but after waiting for 2 1/2 hours I came back to them saying there wasn't anything they could take -- quote from the worker, "We have to be REALLY picky on what we buy." Looking through the racks it's nothing but fast fashion, cheap polyester clothes and SHEIN ranging in XXS-S sizes. Compare this to Crossroads or Buffalo Exchange in the city where they at least take some stuff. I also don't think they really looked through the whole bag of items, only the top portion of the bag I had folded were rummaged through while the bottom portion wasn't touched. I took the bag here because it's closer to where I live rather than schlepping over to the city. I'm not expecting them to buy the whole bag of the pieces I drop off but to at least take...
