Goodwill Store — Local services in Palestine

I'm not sure why people are posting negative reviews. I'm in there at least once a week. I own a non-profit boutique in Fairfield. I shop to buy things to put in my shop. This goodwill is by far 1 of the cleanest, organized I've been in around here. Jeremy is the best He always, gets the shoper rung up, the items that need packing, he does in lighting speed! He always thanks the shopper and welcomes them back. I've watched hi with customers. . And He makes sure the customer found what they needed and if not, he remembered if they have that item and will take them straight to it. He's courtiers and very polite. It's hard to find employees like him. I sure hope he is noticed on his work he does and is compensated for it. There was a lady helping him today, but I can't remember her name. She came out of the back with a roll8ng rack full of clothes. But, she stopped to help him with my purchases. I stop in every time I go to Palestine. Yall keep your head up. You're doing an excellent job. If Jeramy was available, I'd hire him in a snap.. I've never been ignored and every question was answered quickly. This "non-profit organization" fires employees for making purchases. What sense does that make? Does that money not go to a good cause? I learned that they prohibit their employees from buying goods. They don't even offer a decent living wage. Prices here are outrageous since the staff/management has changed. Inspect items carefully because I've found them broken/repaired with glue. They put stickers on the books, which can damage them if improperly placed and you want to remove them from the book. They also place stickers/price tags over the makers' marks of items, so you don't know what you're buying. They fill the shelves with broken or chipped items that can cut you if you're not careful. I also found liquor inside a flask they were selling. That all being said, the employees are nice unless you don't...

I have been to this location many many times and every time was good. I go today to look for a little girls costume so she can go to a event this afternoon and found one and the lady and the manager at the check out counter said nothing they can do because it didn’t have a tag so they said look for something else and I did and it didn’t have a tag either I went threw all the stuff and nothing had tags on it. Why in the world would you take stuff out to the floor knowing it wasn’t tagged. I even offered to pay for extra and they said NO it has to have a tag. I explained the situation and they said no tag no sale. Yet they the ones that brought out the clothing to be sold.
