Demuth Community Center — Local services in Palm Springs

The staff that comprise contractors and city personnel have been involved with making our park the best place to have a family style e any and meetings or an outdoor lunch . The park has sports events a community center s d serves also as an Emergency Evacuation center and FEMA hospital shpd we have an Earth quake ot other major disaster. As a Volunteer and having EMS /EMT I try to make sure that we are able to assist you with Concerns and help should you need to request help . Example . Keeping bathrooms safe and clean family style withlessi ncidents of unfamiliar or undesired pick up or patrols when police are not present. Only...

The demuth community center is used for a lot of different reasons. They have a basketball court and they have other sporting activities available in the center. They also have an upstairs room that is used for neighborhood meetings and other purposes. Downstairs they have a large meeting room that is used as a chapel on Sundays and for various other reasons during the week. The only problem with this park is the City has allowed too many organizations to use the facilities. They have waited too long to build more facilities and continue to promise improvements w/o results.

The groups that use this park are excellent and could expand and serve more residents if the City would expand. BTW, they are now threatening to take the concessions away from the youth programs and keep the revenues...
