Arden Courts (Palos Heights) — Local services in Palos Township

This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made as an only child. I had to come to the realization that I can no longer care for my mom. She needed to move into a memory care facility. I needed to find a community that she will be well taken care of and safe. Arden Courts is it. Ingrid was the first person I met at Arden Court. She’s very informative and understanding. The front staff are always welcoming and friendly. The caregivers are nice and patient with the residents. The nurses are extremely helpful and will address questions/concerns immediately. The entire staff treats my mom as well my family and friends like we are all family. I’m very happy with my choice in choosing Arden Court….. Update 05/2025 I’m very heartbroken that I left my mom in when things began to look different. My mom has been a resident of Arden Court for approximately 7 months. The last few months there has been significant changes that were not communicated with families. We love this place! The people have such a positive attitude and genuinely care about the residents. They are very friendly and approachable. They do whatever needs to get done with a smile. They treat our mom for the unique person she is right now --without judgment or negativity. They do not overreact, they respond to the usual kinds of problems that can emerge with this population with calmness and a desire to understand the needs and problem-solve in the best way possible. The employees seem to be a bonded team that works together well and genuinely like each other. The directors/managers are hands-on --involved, have that same positive attitude and support the residents and their staff. The environment itself, feels like home to our mom. After first arriving she said to us "Isn't this apartment just perfect!" They allow her to adjust at her pace, but also encourage her to be involved in activities she would enjoy.
