I’m new to the area and made my way to PCB Hobby for a Magic the Gathering launch party/draft. I first have to mention Chris (TCG) who helped me with some trades and with purchasing some new sealed product. Chris was awesome! He is knowledgeable, welcoming, and honestly was the reason I intend to head back. Second, the store was undergoing some construct as the recently expanded and the new layout is awesome. They told me they could seat 48 for upcoming events, although the one I attended only had 8. Lastly, as a newer MTG player, I have stopped in 15-20 stores throughout the east coast while traveling, and have learned a lot about the MTG “market,” specifically for store credit vs. cash, bulk dollar amounts, etc. My only gripe about this store is that their trade-in prices for store-credit are very low compared to the market. I generally look to trade my cards for 60% cash/ and 70-80% trade-in credit, and here I was offered 50/60 which can really dissuade someone like me, who likes to buy new product and then trade what I don’t want. At a minimum they need a loyalty program or something, for frequent purchasers, but with the ease of trading via TCGplayer, and having the option of sending them back to NC to a shop I have done a lot of business with, I hope they change their policies to incentivized customers to use PCB as their one-stop-shop.
Summary: Chris was awesome and I can’t thank him enough. The layout of the store is awesome and it’s a great environment. Some improvements to be made regarding trade-ins and receiving more...
Read moreWent in, two people working, they were talking abt a customer that called-making remarks about him. Was in store 10 minutes and neither spoke to me, greeted me or bothered to make eye contact. Their choices in card sets only go back to 2016. Many loose cards and newer stuff. Coin selection has been gone through thereby not really offering much for a collector. Sorry I even stopped. Follow up. They finally responded to my review after 3 months. That's how great of a business plan they have. And to the owner that finally replied. Yes, I know the store location- I'm...
Read moreMy friend and I visited this location March 19 (we're from the Pensacola area) and were pleasantly surprised by the shop. Very spacious, clean, and organized. Wax and singles prices are also very competitive and fair. Their bargain sports card bins are my absolute favorite to go through. My friend brought in a 2-row box of cards and was given a very fair offer for trade credit. I will definitely be returning here when...
