I am from Maine but I have lived in Montana for the last 6 years. I was ready to propose to my girlfriend and I knew she wanted a Maine tourmaline ring like the one she had seen on my mom. I searched nearly every Maine jeweler online and spoke to many of them on the phone in search of the perfect Maine tourmaline engagement ring. When I started looking into the rings at Creasers it was immediately apparent that they had the best prices in the state for Miane tourmaline. In fact, the prices were so low in comparison to some of the jewelers I was looking at in Brunswick, Freeport, Portland, and Kennebunk that I was initially suspicious about the quality of their work. When I emailed a picture of the ring that Creasers said they could make for me to a jeweler in Freeport she said that I should buy it from Creasers because that particular ring would cost more than double that price at any other jeweler.

My experience working with Dennis at Creasers was great. He emailed my pictures of different stones to help me find the exact color I was looking for and he gave me lots of info on the ring I was interested in buying. Because he didn't have it in stock, he custom made it to my specifications (for no extra charge) and he got it made and sent to me in 10 days. The ring is more beautiful in person than any of the pictures he sent me and my girlfriend absolutely loved it! It was an amazing value and a great experience. Also, for all you people seeking Maine tourmaline, be very careful of some of the jewelers on the coast who are selling Brazilian tourmaline and calling it Maine tourmaline. This is far more common than you would think but after lots of research and speaking to knowledgeable tourmaline dealers I was able to separate the places that sold authentic Maine tourmaline from the phonies. Wonderful experience and jewelry at Creaser's! There are so many pieces here I'd love to purchase. I found this place when I decided I wanted Maine tourmaline incorporated into my engagement ring. Julie was super helpful and patient when we went to go pick out the stones for my custom-made ring, which is absolutely gorgeous by the way! It came out better than I could have imagined. We returned to pick out our wedding bands and once again great service and an easy time picking out our rings. We also love to check out the small "museum" they have of rocks and gemstones.
