I really have no idea how many stars to give this business because I didn’t actually get to eat here, so I would have chosen not to give stars if I could leave a review without doing so. As a small business owner myself, I have never left a negative review on another business because I believe in supporting other small businesses. But I also know how important customer service is, and how important basic things like not taking money from people when you aren’t even open are. This situation was extremely frustrating and an inappropriate way to run a business. My family decided to order online from the restaurant based on the reviews and menu - we did so, and the website took our order for $50+ and confirmed it would be ready to pick up at 1:45, which was in about 30 min. Nothing on their google listing said anything about a change of location. So we went to the listed location, and it looked strangely empty - but since there was an OPEN sign lit up on the door, we stayed and waited. Finally, one of us got suspicious and walked up to the building and saw a sign saying they were at a different location on certain days (at least that’s how it came across). So we went to the other location, which was very hard to find due to lack of proper signage. I walked inside and it was obvious that they are doing work on the interior to get it ready to be their new location. No food in sight. I was told they are only open on certain days and when they left the store they would refund my money (which I assume will take 5-7 business days to process through my bank account). By the time we were through with all of this, most of the other lunch places we had considered were now closed. I understand that things can be challenging when moving locations. But it is not ok at all to have your website set up to take peoples’ orders and money on days you are not open - which seems like very simple common sense for a business. That needs to be rectified, as it is probably...
Read moreHello all. This was a 5 star strait across restaurant till recently. One of my favorite local restaurants. So what happened? No steak at noon on a Saturday. It happens. I questioned them about the size of the Carne Asada Frys( previous visit). They got way smaller , but was told its just a different layout in the container. The employees used to be the highlight of the experience. Over the last month the moral of the long term employees has gone down at a surprising rate. This shows in the quality of the food. it was the first time in 3 years i heard employees complaining. Also the grill cook was creeping on the young lady working the serving counter right in front of me!!! He was just hovering over her shoulder way to close. To the point she said something to another female employee. Today my Burrito was so sub par Im saddened. The bomb sauce was noticeably weaker. The ingredients seems bland. The chicken i had to replace my steak with was almost unseasoned. I don't know if there is some new management or a change in Business' model.
Please take note. There is still time to get back to the Luchador Taco we all love.
P.S. Your remark is exactly why your employee moral is down. We will comply with your request. This is clearly a failure of management. If you cant take constructive criticism of your Businesses down fall over the last couple months than i feel sorry for you. You are correct me and my partner are displeased. We also clearly got your attention. Now the ball is in your court. Im also glad your from east L.A. , but not sure what that has to do with anything. Also it would be very unprofessional if you took this out on your employees whom are clearly upset. I bid Luchador a found farewell and say thank you for the many good meals. Hopefully one day we can conduct business...
Read moreI hate thabim even doing thism I never thought I'd say this about this location, but fire all the female children. The boys were hustling and moving and working while the ladies watched the line grow. Trust that you're losing business because of it, because I had to come see for myself. It's unfortunate that a place that makes such great food has such awful staff. I'll be back in a month to see if improvements have been made, but I'm not holding my breath
I'm adding this last part after reading the reply from the owner. I'm concerned she may have a substance abuse issue since she introduced a false accusation in her reply. My review said the female employees are lazy and should be fired for their laziness. In addition the owner claims she watched camera footage. You have no idea when I was there. Not the date or the time or who I am, so how do you reach the conclusion that I somehow have a bruised ego? I wanted a burrito in a timely manner and complimented some of your staff. But I also noticed a trend in her replies to reviews, that she can't seem to take any criticism or be accountable for her employees. People tend to leave reviews in order to inform the business owners so improvements can be made, as I stated in my first review that id return to see if improvements were made. I can assure you none have been made. In fact quite the opposite of satisfaction. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to be combative to the reviews people leave instead of addressing the context....
