Downtown Paris Association — Local services in Paris

I would like to vent my feelings along with other Seniors about you moving Farmers Market to downtown. It shows no one took a thought of how it would effect the people that has supported the farmers of Henry County for years. Moving it downtown to a small ,hot, with awful parking situation has caused a hardship on us and by the way my car was hit Friday because it was so crowded. There is no shade for the customers or the vendors , no place to set down to wait for the selling to start, at the Fairground we had plenty of wide open parking, shade under the pavilion and level ground to walk on for us that have trouble walking. It is VERY plain no one had a second thought before moving it, all you all wanted is to get it downtown thinking it would make downtown look better. Thanks again Paris,Business Association and Henry County for ruining a good thing for the Senior...

I was a bit disappointed. The town needs help. Half the stores were closed. The 4 stores i visited were wonderful little boutiques with great things from clothes to everything else boutiques have. We needed to us the rest rooms and were told to go to the courthouse, they wouldnt let us in because court was not in session. You want people to shop small business and small town it needs to be a bit more welcoming...
