Pawleys Pier Village — Local services in Pawleys Island

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AGENCY! They are misrepresenting the condos, particularly Unit D-2. My family and I rented this unit for over $3000 for a week in July. It was absolutely disgusting. Not only was the unit nasty from a lack of good housekeeping, but the furnishings and carpets were dirty, stained all over, walls covered with dirt and stains, and furniture was nasty and completely worn out with holes in it. We were afraid to take our shoes off, and we had to cover the furniture with sheets in order to sit down. We promptly contacted the rental company and property manager, and they did nothing except offer to refund a small cleaning fee. We are extremely disappointed that our family vacation turned into a disgusting nightmare. I am appalled that this unit is allowed to be rented in this awful condition by Pawley’s Island Realty. We have been going to PPV for many, many, many years. I read the comments on this page and would like to suggest that potential vacationers visit each of the units’ pictures on the current rental company’s website. Many comments previously made on this site are outdated and inaccurate as a majority of condo owners have done extensive tastefully done renovations to their individually owned units and others have made upgrades that have made them more comfortable for vacationers. There are elevators for those who are challenged with climbing steps to the units on the upper floors which is a big plus. Renovations to the private pier are in the works and will begin soon for those who enjoy fishing on a private pier. Families can also enjoy the beaches located directly in front of the condos. RECOMMENDED if you want sea shells this, this is the spot I'm not putting shame on the other beaches but i rather go here for a nice calm and not much people than a beach i would have to pay 20$ for it's super quiet the waves aren't so strong as the other beaches and again SEA SHELLS sooo many, the sand is so soft so don't worry getting your knees scratched while in the water Parking is a bit tricky so i would recommend getting there early not a...
