My wife recently made an honest review about our experience with Olsen’s. The reply we got from the owner was very sad considering they own a big business. She didn’t understand why we were upset spending over $600 on trees with diseases, she basically said: I don’t understand why are y’all upset! Well! Yes we lost our first receipt and we got 30% discount on the 2nd sick tree which was almost $300! Come to know that our neighbor got a tree from them and it’s dead not even two months later! Apparently we were not the first people with the same problem! If they choose to take hard earn money from people selling sick trees and then turn around and say good luck! Then it’s our responsibility to let the other costumers know what are they dealing with! We have much sympathy with the death in their family but that doesn’t give them the right to ignore their customers, it has been over a month since they promised they will come and check it and no1 showed up. We didn’t even ask for money! We wind up buying another tree from Home Depot to avoid conflict and confrontation. Obviously this will be the last time we buy from them and we are going to make sure that ppl in Utah county area know what did we have to go through and basically wind up with nothing $600 later! Admitting fault is not a bad thing for a business, taking care of your customers should be number 1 priority, FYI we kept the 2nd receipt but that is beside the point! Making it right would be: what can I do for you to making right! But the answer was simply! GOOD LUCK! Thank you again Olson’s for teaching us a lesson not to trust local nurseries ever again, because big business like Home Depot will always make it right to...
Read moreWe bought a blue spruce that had a disease. We came back and bought another blue spruce that also had a disease. (We were given a 30% discount to purchase the 2nd tree). We were told that someone would call and come out to look at the tree. A month had passed and didnt hear from anyone. We returned today and spoke with Jenny (the owner's daughter). We were basically told good luck. That is a bit frustrating after spending over $600 on trees we dont have. Luck has nothing to do with it. We have spent much time and money on these trees. For a large, popular nursery that pride's themselves with quality products and customer service, this whole situation is unacceptable.
There are so many workers here that it is nearly impossible to be left alone. There are literally hundreds of planters, different types of plants, hanging, climbing vines, roses, and almost any type of yard tree that you can imagine. They have Peet moss, soil, play sand, compost, yard tools, decorations, grass seed, vases, and seeds of many kinds, including some types of colored corn that are hard to find elsewhere. They have greenhouses, they have indoor plants, and outdoor plants. They have knick knacks gallore. They have acre apon acre of green houses and fields. It is wise to have a list when you go here, or you may spend way more because they just have so much to offer! I personally found that because I had not planned my yard very well that I had to make multiple trips out there. I also waited a bit too long to go back and some of the plants that I had picked on my first trip was sold out when returning.
But, on a positive note, they had some mostly dead plants out in a back lot, that they gave me for free because they did not think they would survive, but so far they are growing. Just...
