Review Date: January 16th, 2016 Let’s make the Magic happen! Oh… you played a counter spell 😦 I will preface this with a warning that I am a bit bias towards The Zone. I partake in Magic pre-releases here. I have been coming here for a long time, actually. Back when I first got into Magic and his store was located in Creve Coeur, IL. Moving on. The Zone offers a wide variety of products. From comics, posters, figures/toys, trading cards (singles and sealed), Ultra Pro products, sleeves, and other odds/ends. I have played 3 Magic pre-releases there (so far) and the store owner, Scott, has been great at hosting it each time. He even helped me set up my DCI account right before the pre-release tournament was about to start. You can pretty much throw any random question at Scott and he will have some knowledge about it and can help you out. Overall, a great store to visit if you need your Magic/comics/toys fix. Plus, Maurie’s Candies is right across the street! :3

For me having a comic book store in walking distance, next to my favorite bar is a match made in heaven. The Zone is an asset to the community. There are so many comic, gaming, and collectible enthusiast in our area that The Zone is an oasis. Wildly friendly, well informed, clean, open, well stocked, ever rotating products (There are several Zone locations in the area) and fair prices. I’m not much of a gamer but there is an entire section of the store dedicated to gaming. D&D perhaps? I’m not sure but what I do know is when I want to pick up a couple of Jack Kirby comics or D&D books for my step son or unique gift for the Holidays, Scott at the Zone is always there.

I come here on the weekends to play a few card games with friends. The girl, Shelby, who works here is the sweetest! She always has updates on card shows and anything happening in the Pokemon world and she always has a warm smile and hello waiting for us when we come in. She’s always helpful and everyone loves seeing her when they come in! Sometimes when the store is slow she’ll join us in a game or show us a new game we’ve never played! Definitely head in on the weekend to enjoy the warm atmosphere :)

First time I went there, he was very nice and welcoming. Very easy person interact with, very cool having his daughter with him too. Love how neatly and organized everything is. First time I went there I showed my collection, and went good. Only things I didn’t like was how low he would pay for the card. Buying around 60-75% of market price. Couple times I went there and bought some 151 packs and I think $10 is a bit to high for each pack but I respect it. Because we both are trying to get the best price out of it.
