Dollar General — Local services in Pembroke Park

This place is horrible went to do a return on a house phone I brought 2 days prior for 9.99 it did not work. The assistant manager a lady I think her name was Mary. She ask why I was returning the item told her it did work. She went to the back to test the phone and came back and ask me again why I was returning the item I told her it doesn't work I said this to you already. She then told me that she did not have to return the item. She tried to give me a store credit. I told her no I have my receipt I want my money. Shevrefused to do a refund. So I left and call corporate office. The district manager called me back within a minutes and told me to go to The store and tell them I said to return the item.went back got a gentle whibreturned the item but wanted my driver license. I did not have my is and refused to give him my id my sister was with me and gave him her id. I told him thatvwasnt new he then sarcastically say do you work for dg how do you know. I told I just spike with your general manager and he did not say I needed my id. They are rude and very unprofessional...

The manager will put up signage for items located on the store's floor will supposedly show a discounted price. IGNORE them because when you get to the register, you'll be charged the normal price. Don't bother to point out the sign, the cashier will only go by what the scanner shows. Sometimes, aisle prices and the prices in the refrigerated/frozen food will also be another, higher price when scanned. The scanned price can be almost double. Again, the cashier won't give you the lower price. The homeless are allowed to loiter in the store, if they sit in the corner in located near the entrance. If you ask where an item is, you won't get a specific aisle but a general section of the store usually covering a couple of aisles.

In my opinion, you're better off going to the Family Dollar about 1/2 a mile east on...

I was so glad when this store opened. Previously if I needed just a few items I was going into the Family Dollar just down the road and there was always something going on there and the store was a mess.

This Dollar General is clean and well stocked. Most of the employees have been there since the doors opened and are all extremely nice and friendly. Its always nice to see a familiar face that greets you with a welcoming smile.

The Manager Glenn is always very friendly, professional, and available to assist you. He even helps me load bags into my car when I purchase a lot of items.

I manage a rental community in the area and this store always has the snacks and small water bottles I like to keep in the leasing office for my residents.

I will continue to shop at this location and refer my residents to shop...
