Mc Tyre Park — Attraction in West Park

Great neighborhood facility that really tries to help the community. I been going to this park since 1991 and have some good memories there. I was in the soccer program that was run by David Carpio for youth and adults. It was a place for kids to entertain their free time and we had a good number of community that was involved. I remember representing the park when we traveled to an international soccer tournament in Puerto Rico. Among other sports I recall the all star baseball team playing there in late 90s who made a good run representing the park. The park and staff were always involved in events for the youth which in turn kept them off the streets. Not sure if to date they still do the same but I know the park was renovated few years back to with new basketball courts and athletic field. It has a pavilion that can be rented along with a hall if needed. There is plenty of spaces to park and also has his and her restrooms with a concession for sporting events. The park is pretty big and kept up pretty good. Don't wanna say its the cream of the crop of parks but I'm from that neighborhood so it suits...

It’s a nice park. If you google this place it says dogs allowed. I did that before I went. I had someone come in a Broward parks truck as I was leaving and say no pets. Then take me to see a sign, that’s like 🚫 pets…no where near the park entrance. Did someone buy this and put it up? I don’t know but…I recommend that his supervisor. (” that was mentioned, apparently from similar situations”) look into the matter…he blamed the internet…shame on google for giving me misleading...

This Park is located in the Miami area.. Family and friends are able to enjoy the Event together.. This Park is larger than normal..
